Dessert at HANA HANA pt.1 (=^-ω-^=)

Yesterday i headed out to the city and watched Wreak-It-Ralph with the kareshi~ Afterwards we were getting a bit peckish so i decided why not go for dessert since it was a hot summer day anyways. So we headed towards Hana Hana which offered both casual dining and a cafe! Their shop is two levels so we headed upstairs for dessert since downstairs was for the casual dining.
let's head upstairs guys!
simple and cozy interior
pretty lightening
Hana Hana Café Ratings:

Location:★★★★
Reasonably easy to find as it is near the 2 wise monkeys bar along Liverpool St. I would say it is about a 10-15 minute walk from Townhall station.
Shop 4 & 5, 339 Sussex St, Sydney 2000
Open 7 days
Ph: 9280 1570

Menu: ★★★★★
Their café menu offers a great range of desserts, coffee and tea. They have parfaits, shaved ices, cream cheese pancakes, tapioca crepes, mochi waffles, roll cakes and of course ice-cream!

Cost: ★★★★★
Their prices for their café menu ranges from AUD$2-$5.90!! Super reasonable and maybe even cheap for some!

Service: ★★★★★
The service at the cafe is wonderful! After ordering you can just take a seat anywhere you like and they'll bring the desserts to you! Also every time you return your empty dishes to the counter you will receive a stamp on their loyalty card. After earning 5 stamps you can get a free bowl of udon or soba (cold/hot)!

Overall: ★★★★★
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for desserts which are both affordable and delicious to eat! Furthermore i really love the atmosphere there as it's really peaceful and quiet with Jpop music in the background and the sunglight shining through the windows! Perfect place to hang out with friends or read a book while enjoying a cup of coffee with a dessert dish. I also love their loyalty card system because it makes people clean up after their mess! :)

Now moving onto the food review of the day~ Both the kareshi and i ordered one dish each. I got the green tea parfait whereas the kareshi got the mango mochi waffle!

Mango Mochi Waffle Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆
I simple loved the mochi waffle!! And the mango pieces, mango flavored ice-cream and i'm pretty sure condensed milk went perfect with the waffle!!!

Price: ★★★☆☆
The mango waffle cost AUD$5.20!!

Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommend their mochi waffles's! If you don't like mango there is also strawberry, green tea and chocolate flavor too!!

Green Tea and Sweet Red Bean Parfait Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆
I simply loved this parfait as it wasn't too sweet like the usual ice-cream desserts. There is green tea sponge cake and green tea jelly at the bottom and it's topped with green tea ice-cream, a mochi, anko (red bean paste), whipped cream and a wafer stick

Price: ★★★☆☆
This cost AUD$5.90 which i think is an alright pricing range for the parfait.

Overall: ★★★★☆
If you love green tea like i do then i highly recommend this to you guys!! It's filled with the strong green tea taste (meaning bitter) but this is what makes it enjoyable to eat because you won't get that sugar sick feeling after eating the whole thing!

Stay Hydrated with Dr. Jart+ MOST AQUA

Does your skin get dehydrated from the super intense sun here in the Southern Hemisphere? or does your moisture get sucked dry because of the dry and cold winter days in the Northern Hemisphere?? Well wherever you are in the world i have the answer for you! All products are thanks to SASA.COM as these were from their Christmas/New Years love package!!
I present you with Dr. Jart+'s newest series MOST AQUA! Here i have with me their Water Jelly Mist, Water Cube Serum and Water Cube Cream! I use this every night after washing my face clean from makeup, dirt, sebum, etc. and it always leaves my face feeling fresh, clean and hydrated! Let me show you my usual routine with these products!
Starting off with the Water Jelly Mist, i take about 2-3 sprays on my face as it can prevent any further moisture loss! So a little more on the product itself, the mist reforms the structure of skin cells and creates a moisturizing reservoir. Furthermore the water jelly acts as a protective film to lock in the moisture making it perfect for those who have dry sensitive skin as 80% of the formula is made up of moisturizing ingredients.
Had some Water Cube Cream on my nose~ opps :P
Dr.Jart+, MOST AQUA, Water Jelly Mist Ratings:

Effects: ★★★★★
Super refreshing once i spray the product onto my face and i really feel like the moisture being locked in before anymore can escape.

Formula/Aroma: ★★★★★
The formula is liquid-base making it super easy to spread out onto the skin, as for the aroma it has a light floral scent.

Cost: ★★★☆☆
This product cost US$31.60 but it now on sale at only US$25.30, saving up to 20%!!

Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommend as it already hydrates my skin without the other items and it would be perfect to set your makeup or carry it around in a smaller spray container to hydrate your skin whenever you need to.

Moving onto the next product i use is the Water Cube Serum.
I usually take 2 pumps onto the palm of my hand and i them rub the product in between my hands before applying the product on with a patting motion so that the product is fully absorbed!
The serum also is effective on restructuring the skin cells and establishing adequate water storage underneath the skin.
Dr.Jart+, MOST AQUA, Water Cube Serum Ratings:

Effects: ★★★★★
I love how it instantly brightens up my complexion as i keep adding more moisture to my skin!!

Formula/Aroma: ★★★★★
I love how the formula is super thin and light but can be so effective in hydrating my skin. The aroma is the same as the jelly mist with a light floral scent.

Cost: ★★☆☆☆
The serum cost US$43.90 but is now on sale at US$35.10. It can be a bit pricey but definitely worth it to have hydrated skin!!

Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommended to all those suffering from dry sensitive skin!!

Moving onto the last product before i end my skincare for the night with the Water Cube Cream! Once again this product helps restructure the skin cells as well as locking in all the moisture because it this entire range is known to have the water lock technology. I apply a generous amount onto my face and massage my face as the product is being absorbed!
Dr.Jart+, MOST AQUA, Water Cube Cream Ratings:

Effects: ★★★★★
The perfect end to my night skincare routine!! I feel like i have a nice thick layer of moisture to hydrate my skin for the whole night and morning!!

Formula/Aroma: ★★★★★
The formula is light jelly-like cream which makes it super easy to massage onto the face as the light floral scent eases the mind.

Cost: ★★☆☆☆
The cream cost US$41.90 but is also on sale at US$30.20!

Overall:★★★★☆
Highly recommend!! Leaves my skin feeling super moist and plump!

I super love Dr.Jart+'s entire MOST AQUA range as it is free of preservatives, mineral oils and artificial flavors too! It is one of the best solutions for oily, dry or sensitive skin types!

Teppanyaki Lunch on 13/1/4 (,, ・∀・)ノ゛

Today my mum, younger brother Alex, TonyLion & I went to Fujiyama's teppanyaki since my mum had bought a coupon for it recently and it was time we used it. The coupon my mum had bought was for four people at only $75!! So we decided to go for lunch and it wasn't super busy so we could just enjoy and eat. Also, because it's a coupon there will be no pricing mentioned with the food review~

FujiYama's Ratings:

Location:★★★★★
Super easy to find and it's about a 8-10 minute walk away from Chatswood station, towards Chatswood Chase.
Level 1, 77 Archer Street
Chatswood, Sydney, 2067

Opening Hours:
Sun-Wed 11 am-10:30 pm
Thurs-Sat 11 am-Late

Menu: ★★★★★
The coupon menu offered quite a range of dishes such as salad, beef, chicken, fish and even ice-cream.

Cost: ★★★★★
For 10 course meal for 4 people at only $75 is super cheap!! It's less than AUD$20/person and plus there was so much to eat that we didn't finish it all!

Service: ★★★★☆
The service there was really good! The chef took his cooking seriously yet he enjoyed playing the various food throwing games with us all. So you're probably wondering why did i only give the service a 4 star because of one big fat problem, the waitress!(the only one working there) she cannot understand nor communicate in English!! When she gave us the drink menu, we had asked her which drinks were included in our coupon and she just pointed to the soft drinks and juices, we confirmed with her twice before ordering. As a result they asked us to pay for the amount of the drinks but of course we refused when it was not our mistake. I just do not understand why would someone hire a waitress/waiter who cannot understand or communicate in English. Yes, she might be learning English now but she didn't even understand when we asked for water!!! Now "water" is it that hard to understand the word water!!!

Overall: ★★★★☆
Despite the waitress everything went well. I do recommend this place for those of you who have never tried teppanyaki before!

So our chef for the day gets ready to cook and of course when you go for a teppanyaki meal be expected to have food thrown at you! So it's best to dress not in your most expensive shirt and make sure to wear long pants!
So anyways to start off we ordered drinks, thinking it was part of the coupon, we ordered 2 pineapple juice and 2 lemon lime bitters.
Pineapple Juice & Lemon Lime Bitter Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
The pineapple juice seemed as if it had been diluted a bit with water so it didn't have that strong fresh taste while as the lemon lime bitter is quite nice but it would have been better if it had already been chilled in the fridge.

Overall: ★★★☆☆
I would recommend the lemon lime bitter since it was packed with flavors.

Soon after we were given our salad, miso soup and appetizer to start our tummies off~
Salad, Miso soup & braised beef with fish? Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆
The salad was just plain ordinary so nothing special. The miso soup was really nice because it's not too salty or too bland. The braised beef was really soft and tender and i think the fried thing was fish, that went really well with the sauce of the beef.

Teppanyaki Prawn's Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
They were packed with a garlic-buttery taste~ It went well with the black sauce (not exactly sure of what sauce it was because i was too busy eating away)!

Teppanyaki Fish Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
Now the fish was a bit salty in my opinion but other than that it was cooked very well :)

Terriyaki chicken Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
Not the usual terriyaki taste but still quite nice to enjoy with the fried rice that they made. We were meant to dip this into the sesame sauce which went quite nicely~

Fried Rice Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
The fried rice wasn't anything super special but it went well with the terriyaki chicken and the miso yaki beef.

Now here is our chef preparing to set the beef on fire~
Miso Yaki Beef & Fried vegetables Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★☆
The beef was my favorite dish of the day, it had a honey taste mixed with the terriyaki sauce, super nice!! The beef was also meant to dipped into the sesame sauce, but i already enjoyed the flavors without it but TonyLion on the other hand was smothering the beef pieces with the sesame sauce cause he liked it.The fried vegetables were refreshing for me as everything else was just meat and more meat.

Green Tea Ice-cream Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
This ice-cream tasted more like vanilla ice-cream because it pretty much was! All they did was added green tea powder to vanilla icecream~ That's it, but i guess this is not the worst green tea ice-cream i've ever had as it was still enjoyable to eat.
 ♥♥♥♥♥
After lunch i enjoyed the rest of the day hanging with TonyLion at the library then went off to find mum to go home~ As soon as we got home we decided to make a mango cheese cake~
On another note, if you're Chinese i'm sure you would all know what 1314 means right?? Well in Chinese it is "一生一世" and when you translate it to English it means "forever". Did you also notice today's date? It's 13/1/4 (Y/M/D). So remember to share your love with your family, friends, pets, boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, etc. :)

Ramen time at Tenkomori (*´∀`*人*´∀`*)

The second day of 2013 i decided to meet up with the kareshi in the city. We decided to have lunch at Regents Place as there was a new Ramen shop, called Tenkomori Ramen House, which has now replaced TonTon (i really liked that shop for food, so i was a bit unhappy). Nevertheless, the new shop there is now a Ramen House shop, where the ordering process functions exactly the same as Mappen and Oiden.
Tenkomori Ramen House Ratings:
Location:★★★★★
The location can be easily missed if you do not know your way around the city, so best way to locate it is find the KFC shop near the EVENTS Cinema's and find a narrow corridor along that street and you'll be in Regents Place.
Regents Place, 501 George St,
Open 7 days a week 11:30 am-10 pm

Menu: ★★★★☆
The menu has a variety of ramen which you can choose! They also offer a few rice dishes, various side dishes to choose from and gyoza too!

Cost: ★★★★☆
Reasonably priced as i only paid under AUD$25 for 2 bowls of ramen (one regular, one large) a few sides and a drink on top too.

Overall: ★★★★☆
I do recommend this place although Tenkomori ramen is not as good as Ichiban Boshi's ramen.

Now moving onto the food we ordered for lunch~
Terriyaki Chicken w/Tonkatsu soup Ramen (regular) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
The terriyaki chicken didn't have much of a terriyaki taste as it is the grilled sort of chicken so it had a more charcoal taste? The broth was really nice and it didn't have any bland flavors at all. The ramen noodles are not as bouncy? al dente? they are not as good as Ichiban Boshi's ramen noodles.

Cost: ★★★★★
This cost AUD$7.30, relatively cheap and i didn't even finish my bowl!

Overall: ★★★☆☆
I will recommend the Tonkatsu(pork) broth but i not really the terriyaki chicken ramen all that much.

Black Garlic w/Shoyu soup Ramen (large) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★☆
The Shoyu soup was really clear and the garlic that melted into the soup made the flavors really nice (because i like my garlic, shallots, onions, etc.)

Cost: ★★★★
This cost AUD$6.90 even cheaper than my one even though we ordered this in a large!!

Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommend this one, although you might find it a bit boring to eat since there is no toppings on top so best to get some side dishes.

QQ White Grape Drink Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★☆
Tasted like real grape juice!!

Cost: ★★★☆☆
I'm not sure of the price, but it wouldn't be too expensive.

Overall: ★★★★☆
I do recommend this drink since it's really refreshing!! There is also a raspberry flavor too!!

Gyoza Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
I love gyoza's but i must say the gyoza's here are really average, it cannot beat Ichiban Boshi's gyoza's!!

Cost: ★★★★☆
This cost AUD$4, which is a reasonable price for 5 pieces of gyoza's.

Overall: ★★★☆☆
I do not really recommend the gyoza as much~

Side dishes Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
The wakame seaweed, well...you can't really say it's good or bad. The takoyaki would have tasted nice if it was still hot but unfortunately all the side dishes had cooled down! The pork belly was really nice, the meat just melted into the mouth as it's really soft and tender. It's also not too salty either!!

Cost: ★★★☆☆
The sides range from about AUD$1-3 (from memory) which i find was an alright pricing.

Overall: ★★★★☆
I do recommend the pork belly! As for the takoyaki i guess not really unless you see them coming out fresh from the kitchen otherwise they're bound to be cold!!

♥♥♥♥♥
After lunch we did a bit of shopping around and headed for desert afterwards, which i shall continue in the next blog entry!
Loving how the pink in my hair gets more and more pastel as time goes on, but i kind of miss the bright sharp candy pink shade too~ Today i decided to wear my colour contact's as i've been avoiding them due to the fact i get minor headaches when i try to wear them again (guess my eye's are not use to them) so i'm taking baby steps and wore them for a few hours today!! I shall be opening more of my colour contact's this year otherwise they will go to waste!! Look forward to all the new contacts i shall be reviewing and wearing in the future blog posts!!!

Hello 2013 ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ

Another year has gone by and here we are welcoming 2013!!
Looking back at 2012, i must say that it has so far been one of the best years of my life! I've met so many amazing people and bloggers who live in Australia, Sydney and even near my area too!!
I cannot wait until uni begins again because i can meet more people in life and learn new skills, knowledge and wisdom!(Omgsh getting old~). But so far i'm not afraid of living out my youthful side even though i can get a bit too old for it, but my childhood brings out the biggest happiness in me so why not be spontaneous and fun like a kid, just don't go overboard crazy and do illegal stuff you know. Last year i dyed my hair half hot candy pink which has now faded out to a pastel pink, which i love them BOTH! This year i'm thinking should i re-dye the colour to the sharp pink before uni begins or a different colour~ HMMMM!!! But anyways when i've decided i'll definitely be needing a hair cut since i have to get one before Chinese New Years..some chinese thing.
So how did i spend my New Years Eve/New Years, well i was pretty sick yesterday so i wasn't able to go out much, furthermore my meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner were all congee! Best thing to eat when i'm sick but luckily for me mummy made some side dishes so it would be so bland. It was because i was sick that i killed time by watching Inuyasha as i never got the chance to finish the anime off and i just had so much time on my hands so yeah~
If any of you readers out there who love watching anime i highly suggest Sword Art Online if you've never heard of it as it recently just finished airing. I might start introducing you guys to my geeky-otaku side of me~ hehehe!
Even though i wasn't able to see the fireworks last night i can just look at the photo's i took during Xmas Eve :)
Now that it is a new year, i'm welcoming it with a huge smile on my face, even though i'm still sick. To begin with there are a few things on my new years list which i have to tick off first.
•Sending New Years messages to dear friends and family (check)
•Wash my dog, and boy does she need one!! (check)
•Clean my room, ahem....which is slowly coming into place! Which i definitely will finish before the start of uni of course!
•Lose weight and keep fit! I've been packing on the Christmas food and New Years just began so of course more food, then there is also Chinese New Years so even more fatty food! Definitely will be hitting the gym again to keep my body fit during the fatty beginning of the year!

♥♥♥♥♥
Anyways i'll try and upload more video's this year and be more productive!! I love reading emails from my readers so don't be shy to send me one because i already have a reader who enjoys sending me emails every so often.
