Night Owls in Melbourne // Bar Hopping (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

Once we got back home from our 2nd day in Melbourne, shopping and exploring, we all freshened up and got ready to head out for the night adventure.

Took a selfie with my childhood bae, Stephy before we left. I didn't bring my camera out on this run just in-case we drink a little more than we expect. All the photos were taken with my phone so the quality will not be the best.

First stop, we went to the Croft Institute bar, where the theme is on mental institutions. We got 5 different drinks, which all came with a syringe which you can use to take a shot (of the drink).

I had to revisit Double Happiness, after my first time going there in the Summer earlier that year. I ordered the Prairie Fire Cocktail. I can still remember the taste of this drink because of the vividness of the burning sensation. If you smell the drink it burns your nose, when you drink it, it burns your throat...so yeah for those who are not a huge fan of strong alcohol then do not get this! But if you want a challenge then this is the GO!!

The next place we visited was called New Gold Mountain, which is located right next to Double Happiness, so it was pretty convenient. I ordered their Give Peas a Chance and I was blown away! The drink light yet you can taste the aromas of the snow peas. It was very refreshing and I absolutely loved this drink. It was my favorite drink of the night.
Last stop we went to was called Madame Brussels. Once you get to the place you will kind of feel...is this place serving alcohol? because it looks more of a vintage high tea place. However the waiter was really nice and showed us to our seats and menu. We ordered a fruity-based alcoholic drink in a jug which we can share and a hummus platter.

Overall bar hopping in Melbourne was great! I enjoyed the company of my friends and finding bars to try their different and unique drinks! Melbourne does do well when it comes to innovations!

Winter in Melbourne / Day 2, 2014 (*^▽^*)

I cannot believe I didn't finish blogging about my 2014 winter Melbourne adventure, until I saw my latest Melbourne post. This calls for a huge catch up along with many other 2015 travel blogs to write!

After our first night in Melbourne, we started the next day bright and early and made breakfast at home. Steph and I woke up the earliest so we decided to make breakfast for everyone with the ingredients we bought after dinner last night. We made omelette, bacon and grilled vegetables, along with a cup of tea each.

We then took the train to Flinder St Station where to then took a tram towards South Wharf, for some shopping at the DFO outlet.

We needed to cross this bridge to get to South Wharf DFO, but first group photo!!

I think we shopped at DFO for about 2-3 hours before heading back to the city. The force was against us from leaving, the wind was blowing really strong.

Once we got back to Melbourne central, we went for a quick coffee stop since we were all tired and a bit peckish. I ordered a Lemon Meringue tart and a hot cup of mocha~

Once we finished our coffee break, we continued our shopping adventure at H&M, Emporium, Myers, David Jones, etc. until night fall reached. We headed home to ditch our shopping and to get ready for the night ahead of bar hopping!

One Tea Lounge & Grill // Chatswood - Hawker Lane (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

One Tea Lounge & Grill is a modern Japanese Restaurant and is the home of the first ramen burger in Sydney. They started off as a small food stall during the Night Noodle Market festival, which happens once a year. They soon expanded and established their first restaurant in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Last year they decided to open their second store in the newly refurbished Chatswood Westfield Hawker Lane food court. I decided to try the place out, with my friends, since I haven't been to the restaurant and I haven't seen they newly renovated Chatswood Westfield.

We all ordered a burger each which included two matcha burgers with wagyu beef and one ramen burger with braised pork.

The Wagyu beef matcha burger ($15) included green tea mayonnaise, sriracha chilli sauce, lettuce, corn, spanish onion, tomato which were wedged between two soft pillowy steam bun, topped off with matcha powder. The wagyu patty was juicy and tender and the flavors worked well, however the matcha powder does disrupt the texture and enjoyment of eating the burger itself. Nevertheless it does taste great!

The Braised Pork Ramen Burger ($15) also included green tea mayonnaise, sriracha chilli sauce, lettuce, corn, spanish onion, tomato which are placed in-between two ramen noodle buns infused with ramen soup sauce where it is crispy on the outside & soft in the middle. The braised pork was delicious and I did enjoy the different textures of this burger, but it was a messy process to eat!

Overall, first experience eating at the Chatswood One Tea Lounge & Grill was not bad, as the flavors for the burgers were quite nice. However, it may seem like a fast food store, was catered like a fast food store. However, price-wise, I would say price wise is out of younger student's budget and catered towards from uni students and young adults. Unless they have a student special their burger are not worth $15, after all, Chatswood is a place that is filled with primary & high school students on weekday afternoons.

(ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧ Level Up // 2016 Resolution

It has been three years since I last did a new years resolution-related post so here is my 2016 resolutions. 2015 has flown by and it just seems like yesterday I was finishing my uni examination, but I somehow managed to fit in so many wonderful adventures with my family and friends. Although I was able to cross off a few things from my bucket list, it continues to grow daily as I find more new and exciting things to do in life. Anyways I'll leave that bucket list blog entry for another day, let's get straight into the new year resolutions.

  • Full-time Job?: As I will be finishing my final semester at uni in July, I must search for a full-time job! It kind of scares me that I have to leave this comfort zone, but I am also excited to leave uni and meet the real world! Hunting for a job may not be the easiest of things but I'm looking forward to trying out what there is and also do some interns too.
  • FLABS BE ABS: Fitness has always been an up-and-down journey for me and the main goal has always been to be healthier and fitter. However, I thought to myself why not push myself harder so I can get the body I want and flaunt my hard efforts once its' achieved, since I only have one course to do in my final semester, so I am able to dedicate more time to reveal my shy abs, under the layer of fat.
  • Hone my skills: I definitely want to sharpen my skills when it comes to my blog and youtube channel. I'll do my best so I can blog daily again and upload new video's weekly, that way I can really connect with you guys. I want to keep in touch with all my blogging and youtubing community, and your support is always needed to keep me going! So thankyou for always being apart of my little family!
  • Dance: Oh how I miss dancing! I miss the hip-hop, Kpop and pole dancing. I was addicted to dancing 3 years ago but I have fallen off the tracks due to the massive amounts of uni work over the last few years. This will be the best opportunity for me to start dancing again and make use of the time I have to spare.

Farewell 2015 // Year Review щ(゜ロ゜щ)

2015 has been an amazing year travel-wise, job-wise and in general, I suppose.

First off, travelling has always been a huge thing for me and I've always enjoyed exploring and experiencing the different cultures. In 2015 I went to Japan (twice!), Hong Kong, Hunter Valley, Melbourne, Cairns and Port Douglas.

Going to Japan twice was a blessing! I got to experience the two very different weather conditions, Winter & Summer, and I do have to say I am loving their Summer! All my friends ask me why did I go to Japan again, well...all I can say is Japan is a country you will always want to go back to, especially in my case, as I've always been quite obsessed with their culture for as long as I can remember now. It all started with anime & sushi!

On the other hand, Hong Kong was such a huge disappointment! I remember the last time I went to HK was back in 2012 for a cousin's wedding and I had so much fun, eating, shopping and hanging with my relatives. After a 3 year gap, a huge difference can definitely be seen. The people are just plain rude now and I was so glad I was out of HK in 3 days! However, what did make HK a tad okay to stay, being able to see my brother and dad and the food. Also, I enjoyed the bike riding day we had, that was super fun!

Soon after my HK/Japan Summer trip, the boyfriend, Mr.Smiles took me to Hunter Valley for my birthday. I have never been to Hunter Valley before so it was definitely an exciting trip for me. We had so much fun getting drunk on wine & fat on cheese. It was a super fun and chill birthday.

Again, shortly after my trip to Hunter Valley, I was off to Melbourne to attend the boyfriend's relatives wedding. It was cute and beautiful~ We also had mini food adventures along the way~ I love visiting Melbourne for the great food, amazing coffee and unique bars.

Cairns & Port Douglas was one of my highlight trips in 2015. I have yet to upload blog post & vlogs on this adventure but I had the most amazing experience and fun! I went with my boyfriend and we explored the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and it was the first time I ever went Skydiving.

Job-wise in 2015, I was jobless when I came back from Japan the first time round and so I was on the hunt for a new job. It took a while to find a casual job & go through the interview process, but after 2 months of searching and interviews, I finally landed myself a job! I absolutely love my team, as they are the funniest and chillest people ever and we get along all so well. Pay is not bad too so yeh~

2016, new year, and 2015 image
In general, 2015 was a lovely year! I got to travel more than I expected, continue to be with the one I love, catch-up with friends and family, found a new job and the list could go on! However I am ready to take on 2016 and I know so much more awaits me! The first half of the year will be my final semester in uni (OMG! finally!) and once again, I am planning some travel trips with my family, friends and boyfriend, so I cannot wait until they are up and running! Also, I cannot forget to mention that this year there will be so many good movies and anime coming out so I am extremely excited about those too!! I shall end this 2015 review post here and I'll see if I have time to make a new years resolution post for you guys too! Thanks so much for reading and please continue to support me again in 2016!!!
