Review: Bambi Princess Mimi Apple Green

My Verdict: I absolutely love these lenses!! I wore these lenses yesterday for about just over 8 hours (bad idea) and almost forgot i had them in. But i must say they are the most comfortable lenses i ever worn! They don't dry out my eyes out which usually leads to very tired eyes and I really like the colour it gives off too , the blend of colours make them more natural than other green lenses out there. The diameter is quite large which has an enlarging effect and making our eyes seem more dolly-looking!! Overall i would rate these lenses quite highly and recommend them highly too as they are just super comfy with a enlarging dolly-look effect and the colours give off a natural look!

RATINGS:

Comfort: ★★★★★ (9.5/10)
Colour:  ★★★★★ (9.5/10)
Enlargement Effect: ★★★★★ (10/10)

Review: Maybelline EyeStudio Quads

Product: Maybelline EyeStudio Quads
Price: It runs for around $15 in Australian stores (You can find them at any store that stocks maybelline. E.g. Priceline, any chemist/pharmacy, Target, Kmart)

Shade: 05 Give Me Gold

This was the first quad I had bought from the series. The colours in this quad are really wearable, and are great for creating a more neutral look. (Sorry, the colours weren't showing up that great on camera)

Shade: 20 Sapphire Siren

I love all the colours in the quad, they make a really nice night look and all the shades are very vibrant and pigmented. A mix of frosty and shimmery finishes.

Pros:
- Quite prigmented and shades show up pretty true to colour in the pan.
- Packaging is simple, sleek and lightweight.
- All shades in the quad go really well together, and it's easy to create a look just using the one palette.
- Great for travelling
- They come in a wide selection of colours. From my knowledge, they even have the occassional limited edition colours.
- Relateively inexpensive - making it really great for people just starting out with makeup.
- For once...I actually like the sponge tip applicator it comes with. I usually chuck away the applicators because they're hard to use, and are a complete hassle to carry around. However, the applicator that comes with these quads are longer than the normal applicators - making it easier to use, and they come with two ends - a normal end and a slimmer end, which helps to create the look you want without using different brushes.

Cons:
- The eyeshadows tend to have a lot of fallout - probably because a lot of the colours in the quads are very shimmery.
- Some of the colours can be quite powdery. (Not all colours though.)

Overall Opinion:
I do like these eyeshadow quads. Not only are they great for travelling, these palettes come with all the shades you need for creating a look. Also, for the price we pay for these eyeshadows, I can say they are really good quality. However, I believe that a primer/base is needed before application, to make sure colours show up better and stay longer.
