Otaku Time // Anime Winter 2019 ( ◞・౪・)

I know I haven't been active much on my blog over the last few months but when summer is in 4 days this means the list of Winter 2019 anime series are out and here is what I'll be watching this summer.

The Zodiac Collection // Colourpop X Kathleen Lights (ノ´ヮ´)ノ✧

I haven't blogged much about makeup in the recent years so I decided to share one of my latest purchases that I made from ColourPop. When they had dropped their Zoadiac collection in collaboration with Kathleen Lights I immediately was drawn to its theme and their beautiful colours.

CALIA COLLECTIVE // Japan Air Flown A5 Wagyu (●♡∀♡)

When I was in Melbourne last month I visited the cafe called Calia Emporium not once but 3 times! The first time was for a cake break and the other 2 times were for lunch. I've been following their Instagram account religiously to check their amazing dishes and I must say it just leaves me drooling for more! I finally went to the cafe and I loved how they had a little grocery store on the side when you're waiting for a table or waiting for your food to come out. There were so many imported products to look at and purchase. This place is extremely popular and gets pretty pack during the lunch hours daily so be sure to come in early to get a spot.

Otaku Time // Anime Autumn ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ

It has been a while since I last posted and some of you may know I quit my previous job last month because I got a new role (with better pay too!). Plus I had 2 weeks off before starting my new job and I took that time to really either push through all the little projects I wanted to do or really relax and enjoyed my no-work-life! Honestly, it was so blissful I didn't want to even start new job but I need the funds so I can travel~
Moving onto my quarterly ritual, it's time to list the anime series I'll be watching this Autumn (or Spring here for Australia).

Hangry for Kusuka ⌒゚(❀>◞౪◟<)゚⌒

The last time I blogged about Kusuka was about a year ago and it was my first time going there too(read it here). I recently came back to Kusuka at their newer Sussex St location which was relatively close to my previous workplace. I came here with Florence over the weekend when our original plans had fallen through so we were left super hungry and ready to eat anything that would be fast!

Two Sis & Co. Review // Brunching on colours ∩(︶▽︶)∩

Last weekend I finally went to the cafe Two Sis & Co. with Virginia and my childhood friend Stephanie to catch up and enjoy each others company. The weather was just perfect with a beautiful blue sky and a sunny warm day.

Pipimi + Popuko // Adventure at Dawn o(*≧□≦)o

Earlier in June as we were slowly leading up to the SMASH! weekend I arranged a casual cosplay shoot with my mate where we dressed up as Popuko and Pipimi from the anime series Pop Team Epic. I got up around 4am to get ready before driving out to the CBD and making it to our location at dawn. We had the most beautiful sunrise and it was just a beautiful day to shoot. The sky was constantly changing every hour that passed with various pastel colour moving across the sky.

Went to Meet Mica // Café review (*⌒∇⌒*)

Prior to my trip to the US, Florence and I went out for lunch at the cafe called Meet Mica. We've been seeing their food dishes appear on our instagram feed quite a bit so we thought we'd tick this place off our bucket list. The cafe offers an Asian-fusion brunch menu and is located in Surry Hill.

Ito En O-cha // Tea time! (*^▽^*)

Now we've all heard of the amazing benefits that green tea has on our health and how it has made its way through to the food and beauty world. Numerous studies show that green tea is able to lower cancer risks, improve brain function, reduce blood glucose and cholesterol, aid in weight loss and fat loss, anti-ageing, etc.

Otaku Time // Anime Summer 2018 Σ(*ノ´>ω<。`)ノ

Sydney is now a week into winter and boy is it cold!!! At times like these I wish I was back in Japan soaking up the sun and cooling down with kakigori~ Oh wells...maybe next year~ Anyway, now that it's summer in Japan its time to share my anime watch list that I'm looking forward to watching this season!!!

Winner winner chicken dinner ⋋(◍’Θ’◍)⋌

While myself, Florence and Sarah were in Burwood for desserts in the morning we were also invited to pop by Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory to try out their menu. Apparently Chir Chir (pronounces as Chi-re Chi-re) is one of South Korea's largest chain restaurant known for its signature freshly-cooked Korean chicken dishes. Also, there are currently over 100 stores across Korea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Dulcet Cakes & Sweets ♡

On my next adventure I was invited to pop by Dulcet Cakes & Sweets in Burwood Plaza to taste their cute looking cakes and matcha treats. I have been seeing their kawaii cakes and drool worthy matcha desserts on my instagram feed for quite some time but I was a little sceptical as to whether they actually tasted as good as they looked because...you know some places are like that and it's honestly a waste of my stomach quota and a huge disappoint when that does happen!

Flour Drum // Burger & Pasta (๑꒪▿꒪)*

I finally made my way to Newtown's Flour Drum cafe where they serve rustic food inspired by traditional preparation techniques with a modern approach. I've always wanted to try the dishes there as I've been seeing so many hearty dishes on their instagram page.

Otaku wishlist - Pullip Dolls (≧∇≦*)

Image result for pullip doll collection
I haven't shared a wishlist blog post since 2016 and thought I'd bring it back starting off with something otaku-related. I've always wanted a Ball joint doll or Pullip doll for the longest of time, yet I still haven't purchased any as I've had other things that I needed to invest in or wanted more than a doll. Some people find dolls creepy but for me I'm not too sure exactly what captivates me when I look at them but I find they have this mysterious beauty to them. Although BJD/Pullips are not a huge thing here in Sydney I still search the net to keep up to date on the next anime character being made into a BJD or Pullip doll.
Below are a few favourites that are on my wishlist and if I did have the spare cash to spend on dolls here are the ones that I would consider getting.

Azuma at Chifley

Two of my friends had arranged for their birthday dinner to take place at Azuma which is located in Chifley Square. We were taken to a private room on arrival which was decorated with various Japanese art work hanging on their walls.

Pofee Luncine Lens Review ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡

It has been a very long time since I last reviewed colour contacts as I haven't had the chance to try out any new designs or series. Also, I usually purchase my colour contacts from Japan and it has been 3 years since I last went and I just haven't had the chance to jet off to Japan recently. However, LoveShoppingHolics recently re-approached me to do some reviews for them so I said why not! I've personally have shopped with them before so I can honestly say that I trust their products that they sell, however LoveShoppingHolics only stock yearly disposal lenses and I do prefer daily disposal lenses as they are much more comfortable in my opinion. Which is why I also purchase colour contacts lenses from another website called HoneyColor for monthly, weekly and daily lenses.

Circa 1876

Recently, I made my way to Hunter Valley with my friends for one reason...FOOD! We simply wanted to go on a mini food adventure and also check out the wineries before the grapes and leaves completely gone. We were deciding where we wanted to go for lunch and we ended up booking Circa 1867 as their menu sounded amazing and they had won the 2017 NSW Regional 'Fine Dining' award from Savour Australia.

We originally wanted to go for their 7 course tasting menu, however due to the time constraint we opted for the 3 course menu which included an entrée, main and dessert. Florence and I decided to share the dishes we had chosen so we could taste more than just 3 dishes.

Summer at Hacienda Bar Sydney

March this year was relatively warm with the extended summer weather here in Sydney making it the perfect weather to take some beautiful shots at Hacienda Bar for my friends birthday bash.

My dear friend, Florence, loves being a little extra here and there and this time she made sure to book a beautiful venue with a lot of natural lighting and of course made her friends dress up for the occasion. For the ladies we were to come head to toe in white and for the gents a collared shirts would suffice.

Luckily for us on this 40 degree hot boiling day we would enjoy the celebration with food, drinks and musics all under the aircon on full blast! The dishes served at Hacienda were quite delightful to have on this hot summer-like autumn day and the cocktails were just refreshing. I wanted a strong yet refreshing drink so I ordered the Chariman's plane ($21) which consisted of spiced rum, aperol, pink grapefruit syrup and lime juice. It was delicious.

Otaku Time // Anime Spring 2018 (❁´ω`❁) & Giveaway Survey

It's officially autumn here in Sydney which means it'll be Spring in Japan! Spring in Japan is one of the most breathtaking seasons to see the sakura flowers in full bloom and I personally would love to visit there soon to experience it for myself.

Moving onto the main topic of today, yes, it's time to share my anime line up for this season which I'm super looking forward to! I got pretty excited with the first few anime series which I'm about to share because I've been waiting for this moment!

Gotta Go Gogyo ─=≡Σ((( つ•̀ω•́)つ // "Burnt" Miso Ramen

Good evening my hungry readers, I'm finally back with my first food review of the year! I made a visit to Gogyo the week it opened as I knew this was going to be a new hot spot for foodies to feast at, plus I would be flying off to LA in a few weeks time.
While most people don't associate the word "burnt" with edible tasty food, Sydney's latest ramen joint is most famous for its Kogashi burnt miso ramen which may change your opinion. Gogyo is also a sister restaurant of Ippudo's and has stores in both Japan and Hong Kong.

Qube on Bay // Beginning 2018 with Brunch! o(*^▽^*)o

Last weekend I was invited to brunch at the cafe called Qube on Bay to try out their Black Sesame French Toast available on their menu this summer. Personally, I've always wanted to go to this little cafe as my instagram feed is always flooded with pretty pictures of food and drinks from food bloggers and their official account too.

Otaku Time // Anime Winter 2018 ╰(✧∇✧╰)

Over the holiday season I had been busy feasting with family and catching up with friends where I left my Otaku Time Anime Winter post scheduled for a later day. I do apologise that it's a tad delayed but let's get straight into it!

Hello 2018! Let's get started...╰(✧∇✧╰)

New level unlocked: 2018! 🎉 Congratulations on completing level 2017, and best of luck on all the challenges and thrills of this new year. Happy new year, players! 💛

Now that you've read my reflection post for 2017, which practically sucked for me, it's time to list down my resolutions for 2018.
Looking back on the last 2 years my resolutions were fairly similar and it will pretty much be the same for 2018. The aspects in my life that I want to focus on will be the same but I will approach them in a different way.

A reflection of 2017 // Not such a great year...? ((´д`))

believe, quotes, and 2018 image
Here's to the first post of 2018, where once again I reflect on the previous year, 2017, and create or alter my goals for 2018! To be honest 2017 was not the best of year for myself and to my surprise a lot of my friends felt the same way!
