Favourite Anime Foods Dishes - Shokugeki no Souma Part 1 (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

Now I love food...food is life! It's basically one of my life motto's! Even in the anime world, the food there looks amazing and it makes me want to try to recreate the dish myself, which I might do when I have some spare time. But today I'll be sharing part one of my favorite anime food dishes. First selection of dishes are from the anime series Shokugeki no Souma, that I can think of the top of my head, as there will definitely be more to add onto the list.

One fine morning we went to a cute little brunch spot in Carlton with my boyfriend and his mum, who works in Melbourne most of the time so she knows all the good eating spots. We were told the food here was really good, so of course we had to try it.

It's Spring tomorrow here in the southern hemisphere, while up north in Japan they start to approach the cooler autumn weathers. As the new season starts to roll by, there are more new anime series to add onto my  "to watch" list. Below are a few that I'm thinking of watching this season!

While I was in Melbourne, I had the opportunity to get my bak-kut-teh (肉骨茶) fix at Aunty Franklee. Aunty Franklee is relatively new in town as they only opened in late 2016 in the heart of Melbourne CBD, where I came here with my boyfriend and his mother.

During late July I went to Tetsuya to celebrate 2 friends' graduations and another friend's new job role. We their unique degustation menu, which is based on the Japanese philosophy of using natural seasonal flavors, enhanced by classic French techniques and utilizing the freshest ingredients. 
Tetsuya’s Restaurant is located in the heart of the CBD where, Tetsuya Wakuda refurbished a heritage-listed site,. The restaurant has influences of traditional Japanese-inspired style, to create a serene dining enclave in the city.

It that time of the year again, truffle season! Last year I went to a few places hunting for delicious truffle dishes, so of course this year there is no exception. First place to fulfill my truffle craves was Cavalier Specialty Cafe located in between Crows Nest and St Leonard. Local Mbassy // Brunching Review ¯\_( ◉ 3 ◉ )_/¯

Finally caught up with my girlies, Stephy & Virginia for a weekend brunch session. We originally were going to go to Qube on Bay, but they were closed that day, so we ended up going to Local Mbassy. It's a cute little cafe located in Ultimo, which is a quick 10-15 minute walk from Central station.

Attack On Titan Season 2 is OUT!!! 《《o(≧◇≦)o》》


Morning everyone! I just finished watching episode one of Attack  on Titant season 2! And OH-MY-GOSH!  It's so epic already and thank goodness this was not an April Fool's joke!! I cannot wait to see what's installed this season because I haven't read the manga, so please no spoilers!. Less break it down to what my favourite part was in episode one! BUT!!! If you haven't watched it yet go do so now before I reveal way too much!!

Attack on Titan 2nd Season's 2nd Trailer Video (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Yes yes yes!! 3 years later and AOT season 2 will finally premiere on the 1st April across 21 networks in Japan! (Please don't be an April Fools joke...please!). Goodbye Naruto.... (っ- ‸ – ς)


The 500th episode of Naruto was released yesterday and I finally watched it today! It's so sad to see the series end, but I was so excited for the wedding episode. It wasn't what I expected the episode to be...so I was a little disappointed. However it was just a beautiful and sad moment!

I've always drove past a few cute looking cafe's in Willoughby, which I've never been to before, even though I live in the North Shore area. So, last Sunday I decided to take my mum out to lunch, where my elder brother and his partner decided to join us on this foodie adventure.

Happy White Day! So what is White Day?? Well today I'll be explaining that very question! In Japan, White Day is consider the Valentines Day that we traditionally understand today where men pamper and shower women with gifts, flowers and chocolates. Although times have changed and now, so expressing love can be from either party.

2 months ago I was invited by Washoku Lovers to attend the exclusive media night of Hotto Motto. We were invited to enjoy the tasting of various bento's offered at Hotto Motto. In Japan, "bento" (lunch boxes) are an integral part of the food culture and represent the traditions and convenience that have been cherish since ancient times. Bento dates back to the 1600s and today they have proven to be come a popular takeaway item, due to the wide variety that exists.

My first weekend back in Sydney, my brothers and I decided to take my mum out for breakfast at The Grounds of Alexandria. My mum has never been before and we've shown her photo's of the times we went with our friends/partners. She thought the food, markets and animals all looked pretty cool and different!
