Let's go somewhere Cafe ish

Today was a gloomy rainy day...so where did i go on this day??

I decided to head to the city where i had a catch up session with one of my girl friend! We decided to try out a Japanese-Australian fusion cafe that we've been hearing about and all.

Cafe ish is an Japanese-Australian fusion cafe which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner!! Their menu price range is reasonable i must say! And their food is really unique!! On the menu you can see like crocodile meat, soft shell crab, etc.

On Tuesday's they have the "Tight Arse Tuesday" menu where many of their must try dishes are at only $10!!!

Their interior is quite relaxing too!! I feel warm inside even when it started to pour outside.

Cafe ish Rating:

Location:
The location is really easy to find as it is quite close to central!!!All you need to do is walk along Elizabeth Street until you come across Campbell street. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from Central Station.

Cost:
The prices are quite reasonable for the amount of food you pay for. It ranges from AUD$4-$24.

So here is what we ordered. We didn't order much as we both had lunch before hand so we on afternoon tea ? We tried the raving soft shell crab omelette & the fries with wasabi-mayo. My friend got the Macadamian latte where as i got the Double Dragon (since it is the dragon year according to the lunar calender)

Fries with Wasabi-mayo Rating:

Taste:
I prefer eating thicker fries when i go to cafes and restaurant's. Next thing is that there wasn't enough wasabi in the mayonnaise sauce mixture like i was expecting.

Cost:
Well it's alright the price (AUD$4) and this was for small! And we didn't even finish it.

Overall:
Would not recommend this as there is nothing really special about it.

Soft Shell Crab Omelette Rating:

Taste:
I was having really high expectations of this dish but it did not exceed my thoughts. The omelette is really unique but is quite average i guess! The sauce is what made it have that slight unique taste to it. Though the texture of the omelette was quite nice!

Cost:
This dish was AUD$24 but it was quite filling as we shared half. (But maybe cause we had lunch beforehand).

Overall:
I would recommend this dish to everyone who likes their seafood!!!

Double Dragon Rating:

Taste:
There are two different plums combined to create this drink. I found this drink quite nice as i had a sore/dry throat and the slight sourness of plums helped with that.

Cost:
The cost is alright for this drink! It costed AUD$6.50

Overall:
Really liked this drink!!! It has a really unique flavor to it.

Even when it rains i love to hang out with friends for a chat

Review: SOYJOY® fruit bars Cacao Orange

Have any of you tried out the soyjoy fruit bars before??
It is a healthy , nutritious snack which comes in handy when you get the muncHhies!!

Raisin Almond, Cacao Orange, Banana, Hawthorn Berry, Strawberry

Here are a few flavors which i got at Hong Kong airport. They only had these five flavors so i just got one of each. Soyjoy bars are low in GI and has benefits which make our skin healthy. But do keep in mind that it is not a diet bar nor a meal-replacement bar. It contains protein, fibre and iron and may have traces of nuts/seeds. It is great for both adults and children's to consume!!

So today i tried out the Cacao Orange flavored fruit bar during my lecture in uni, as my stomach was growling for food. It has orange peel, dried pineapple and raisins in it!!!

Cacao Orange Ratings:

Taste:
The first bite taste bitter, but it all got better when i was chewing onto the fruit bits as that sweetened it up a bit to balance out the taste.

Cost:
They are relatively cheap in Hong Kong, though i don't remember the exact price. I guess the only bad point it that they only sell soyjoy bars in a few countries so i'm not sure if Sydney will have any~

Overall:
I wouldn't mind having these in my lunch box to snack on in class, especially in the mornings!!!
I will be posting up more reviews on the other flavors soon!!

Review:「我的美麗日記」My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sweet Mask

Does your skin feel dry and rough??!
Who here likes that! I know i don't so i treated myself to
我的美麗日記「My Beauty Diary」Chocolate Truffle Sheet mask.

At first i was thinking how on earth would the mask look like? Would it be covered in chocolate? Will it be messy?? But the treatment simply amazing as this mask moisturizes and softens the skin in just 20 minutes, so i just had to give it a go sooner or later!! Also after a tiring day back at uni i really need that pampering so let's put this on for that baby soft skin!

Ratings:

Effects: ★★★★★
After peeling the mask off my face my skin definitely felt baby soft! Not only that but i could see that it was plump with moisture!

Mask material: ★★★★★
The mask is paper thin which is great!!!

Formula/Aroma: ★★★★★
The formula is liquid which is easily absorbed!!(not chocolate like i thought it would be) There is a generous amount in the packet so you can use the rest on your neck. The aroma of the mask really produces that sweet chocolate smell!!!! I really wanted to taste it!

Cost: ★★★★★
Super affordable! I have seen a box of 10 sheets for $15 around Sydney's CBD!! But for those living elsewhere you can purchase them online such ebay and SASA.com or you may even have a sasa shop near you!

Overall: ★★★★★
Definitely recommend this mask to any of you who have dehydrated, poor elasticity skin. It is ideal for normal skin types!!

Skin so smooth~~

love waking up in the morning with no make up as i feel really fresh!!

H&M Hual in Hong Kong

H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB, more commonly known as H&M, is known for its fast-fashion clothing. It has over 2300 stores in 43 countries and is ranked the second largest global clothing retailer!!

I usually shop heaps when i go back to Hong Kong as there are many H&M shops around! Whereas Sydney we don't even have a single one due to various reasons such as that we live in the southern hemisphere so the seasons for the clothes will be different.

Wine red suede jacket, denim jacket, denim vest, grey knee high socks, suspenders

Everything i bought was from only 2 shopping sessions. I couldn't shop until February because the clothes during January was just...i don't know?

Bright pink front zipper dress, Chiffon sleeveless dress, Classic lacey dress, Sheer purple rose dress, Classic black dress

So glad that all the spring colours started to kick in so i was able to purchase a huge bagful of clothes from my first hual!!

Sheer black maxi skirt, Bright pink high waist skirt, faux leather shorts, black front zipper skirt, light pink short w/tan belth, black shorts, denim overalls

I love shopping at H&M!!! They have great clothes at cheap prices!!! Not only that but their refund/exchange policy is good too!!!

Left: black/coral sleeveless tops, White chiffon shirt, Scenery crop tee

Indulging myself with food at Tin Hau pt.2

So after yumcha at Kungfu Dim Sim, i went into Thomas Trillion patisseries which was just a few shops apart!! I learnt about this place off the tv where i was just drooling in front of the screen looking at all their creative pieces!!
Thomas Trillion is a patisserie with passion! They had just opened for about a year or so according to the lady who served us. Of course i couldn't resist and bought six different assorted deserts to try out!

Thomas Trillion Ratings:

Location:
The shop is not that big so it can be hard to find unless you rally know your way around Tin Hau. Even though the shop is not that big, i could see that the preparation room was quite spacious and very clean!

Cost:
The cost of Thomas Trillion's cakes are quite pricey. For me i bought six cakes and it was just under HK$400 so that is about AUD$9 per cake.

The cakes all have a unique design and they also have their very own specific name.
i feel i'm living a dream~ *DROOOLS*

Here is what all the cakes look like inside.

Ratings:

1.Thomas Ganache Cake Rating:
"Rich cocoa sponge cake base drenched with Grand Marnier and layers of chocolate ganache"
Flavor: ★★★★
This is a dark chocolate cake which is filled with that bitter sweet taste of dark chocolate!! It would go really well with a cup of coffee!! I myself enjoyed eating this cake as i love dark chocolate!!

Design: ★★★★
The design is simple and clean! Very classic for a dark chocolate cake.

Overall: ★★★★
Definitely recommend this cake to those who love chocolate or need something to go with their coffee besides cheesecake.

2.Chestnut chocolate mouse cake Rating:
(forget the actual name)
Flavor: ★★★★
The flavors were simply amazing!!! It wasn't too sweet nor was it dull!!

Design: ★★★★
The chocolate barrier itself had just amazing details which complimented the cake very well!!

Overall: ★★★★
Really loved this cake!!!

3.Apple Mint Rating:"Classic vanilla sponge cake base with layers of green apple and fresh mint mousse"
Flavor: ★★★★
This refreshing cake was the first one i tried as the name and appearance caught my attention right after yum cha! I loved how  the mint mousse went really well with the soft green apples which were located in the center of the cake!

Design: ★★★★
A very cute and refreshing design!!

Overall: ★★★★
Highly recommended!! It's great after a big heavy in taste meal as you will feel refreshed!!

4.Royal Rating:
"Chocolate biscuit base with layers of yellow fruit compote, cocoa gelee and creamy caramel"
Flavor: ★★★★
This is my favorite cake from the entire selection i had chosen! I was told that it was a caramel mango cake so i was expecting it to taste extremely sweet and that after two bites i would get sick of it!! Surprisingly it's not super sweet and the flavors were just beautiful and it tasted heavenly!! Amazing cake! Must try!!

Design: ★★★★
The entire design of this cake itself look like royalty!! Perfect name for it!!

Overall: ★★★★
Highly recommended!! Your taste buds will be dancing!!!

5.Snow White Rating:
"Yeast sablee base with pistachio biscuit, fruit compote and creamy vanilla"
Flavor: ★★★
The outer layer was a very sweet white chocolate coating, which to me was not my liking. But the center of the cake had amazing details of layering and of course the taste was fantastic!!

Design: ★★★★
The stars on the cake made the design super adorable!!

Overall: ★★★★
This cake is just a bit too sweet for me but other than that everything was really good!!

6.Rosenana (the pink ball)
Never got to taste it as i gave it to my relatives to try instead.
