Review: SoLolita's Wine Red Ombre Wig

Hello my fellow readers it has been almost 20 days since I last blogged and some of you may know it was because I was away for almost 2 weeks as I jetted off to Melbourne and Bali with friends, but I shall share my holiday updates with you guys another time. As for today I will be sharing with you guys my first wig review which is kindly sponsored by SoLolita. They offer various styles, colours and lengths so I had quite a hard time deciding which one to get. In the end I decided to get a two tone brown & burgundy wavy wig which is just over the shoulder. It arrived within a week making the shipping swift and easy.

This wig was packed in a plastic zip-lock bag, as per usual as I’m use to ordering wigs, and comes with a complimentary wig cap too. The style of the wig looks exactly as it does on SoLolita’s website so no false advertisement there but the shade of colour is a probably one shade lighter in real life which isn’t a huge problem for me. Although, I did have to cut the bangs on my own as they didn’t come pre-styled except for the curls, which can be quite troublesome if you’re not sure how to cut wigs, (I would know, first time I tried to cut bangs for a wig took me 40 minutes!).

I super love the material of this wig as it is able to resist heat and is super soft which allows you to create many other styles too. The wig base comes with a back clasp which allows a firm and snuggly fit around your head and it ensures that the wig doesn’t slip and slide off throughout the day.

The wig itself is quite soft which is why it looks quite natural in photos. It is also quite easy to comb through to get rid of tangles and knots that may occur and it is also heat resistant but in my case I didn’t want to ruin the beautiful curls that this wig already has.

I simply love the colour combination! I’ve always wanted to dye my hair burgundy/red wine but for now I should let my hair rest and enjoy the natural black/dark brown hair that it comes out as.

Meeting Kevin the Pig at The Grounds of Alexandria ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´(00)`ﾟ)ﾟ｡

One cloudy Wednesday afternoon I met up with a friend who took me to The Grounds of Alexandria. I've heard many raves about this place and have been wanting to go for a while now and so my friend decided to take me there. Coincidentally, we were both wearing something similar! We both had a grey Baseball varsity inspired 3/4 blue sleeves top/dress.

Anyways, since my friend drove we obviously had to find parking and lucky for us we found it within a few minutes after arriving then we headed down towards The Grounds. I was quite shocked and amazed how big the whole place is..I thought it was just going to be like a cafe which have amazing food but no~ they pretty much covered a whole factory ground! We headed to the front of The Grounds and we were given a buzzer for when it was our turn to head in as there was already quite a queue.

During our waiting period it didn't feel long at all as we explored the other parts of The Grounds, I wanted to see their pig, Kevin, who got stolen a few months back but is now back. Again I was surprised as the pig was quite HUGE! I was thinking a slightly bigger piglet-sized pig...As I snapped a picture of the farm animals feeding my friend asked why the pig's tail wasn't curly~ I think he's been watching too many cartoons hahaha!

At The Grounds they also have a coffee cart, juice/fruit cart play house, flower shop, BBQ Shack and bakery section which had quite a few seating's placed outside for those waiting for tables to sit and for those who just wanted to a piece of freshly baked pastry or coffee.

Apparently our waiting time was about 40 minutes but it didn't feel that long at all and we were shown to our table swiftly~ The Grounds are well-known for their amazing coffee so I decided to go with their Affagato as it was quite hot that day.

Next came the decision of which dish to order! It took us around good 10 minutes for us to decide and I went with their New Zealand King Salmon dish and my friend ordered The Grounds Schnitty. We also ordered a side of chips to fulfill our chip cravings that day.

All three dishes were lovely! Their menu is kept small because they know that each dish is amazing in their own way which is what I like about their place but it can make choosing a dish harder for first timers.

I cannot wait to come back to The Grounds with more friends and try their bakery and other coffee and dishes that they offer! Looking forward to it!

Celebrity Look by The Australasian College Broadway (~‾⌣‾)~

Good evening beautiful! I'm already cracking into this lazy bogging mode again, I guess it's cause of the Chinese New Year's events that have been keeping me busy and exhausted too. I'm also heading off on my two vacations with my friends and one is in just 2 days! So tonnes of packing needs to be done beforehand so I'm more prepared!!

Today I will be sharing how to re-create a celebrity look which is supplied by The Australasian College Broadway. The Australasian College Broadway was inspired by Kim Kardashian's who has natural glossy hair, gorgeous skin and beautiful eyes and here are a few tips to achieve Kim's classic look.

TIP#1
Kim has a skin type that is fine textured, smooth and natural. She cleanses her skin each day using a water based cleanser which leaves her skin clean and soft. Always ensures you cleanses your skin before you sleep.

TIP#2
Kim's flawless look is achieved with the finishing touch of bronzer as it tones the face, neck and chest in. Try contouring below the cheek bones with a foundation one shade darker or use a medium warm blush.

TIP#3
Kim's brows are always in regularly maintained and you can enhance the brow shape with a cool tone grey/brown pressed shadow applied with an angle brush and keep the brows a little thicker than usual.

TIP#4
Invest in a good matte black shadow to create a beautiful smokey eye! Adjust depth of colour by blending or toning in another shade of colour.

TIP#5
Invest in a set of individual lashes. Start applying on the outer end of the lash line and work your way in. Stop when you feel you have added enough drama (usually three to four individual lashes does the trick).

Although I'm not a huge fan of Kim Kardashian, I do have to agree she does look quite gorgeous so why not try and re-create her classy look for this summer, upcoming events or parties.
