HELLO SAM | Melbourne Eats (*´(00)`)’

I'm totally procrastinating right now, so over studying even though I've only done half a chapter worth of work *sighs*. Since I've already left my pen and paper on the other side of the table I might as well talk about my favorite place in Melbourne(so far) for burgers!

I first went to "Hello Sam" during my winter trip to Melbourne this year and it was my first meal of the day since touchdown. The girls and I were starving once we threw our stuff into the apartment as our flight was delayed numerous times making our stomachs grow hungry by the minute. Thankfully there was a burger shop right around the corner from our apartment and without further a due we rush towards the smell of burgers and fries!

Once we got to the shop I fixed my eyes upon their menu and instantly saw a burger that struck to me! The Spicy Sam burger, simply Sam, with jalapeno and spicy chipotle mayo. I quickly placed my order along with a side of beer-battered onion rings while the girls took their time deciding which burger to get. We decided to sit outside in the sun even though it was a bit chilly that afternoon but it was nothing once I had food down my tummy!

Once the burgers started to come out one by one, as usual my ritual is the camera eats first, even though the smell of burgers made my stomach growl even more. Once photo sessions were over it was time to pig in! Without regards I just took my burger in between my two hands and munched my way through the juicy meat, spicy jalapenos and the crunchy fresh greens. The smile of satisfaction was wiped across my face and I couldn't stop eating this amazing burger. The flavors and textures was just so right!

As for the onion rings I shared them amongst the girls and we enjoyed this little snack as we planned out a few places that we'd want to visit throughout the trip. The batter of the onion rings were thicker than usual but I suppose it was to keep the onion nice and moist. 

I was messaged by the Hello Sam instagram page to come in for free fries! Although I carefully planned to pop by on the last day before we headed off to the airport, things just got out of hand and I didn't get a chance to try another burger and their fries. Although it was unfortunate for myself, I'm not too fess over it as I'm already planning my next trip to Melbourne already and I cannot wait to grab onto another delicious burger and this time along side with their beer-battered fries instead!

KPOP / / Songs of the week (★^O^★)

Since I've been super busy over the past few days and maybe even weeks I haven't had much time to continue blogging as often but here's a different sort of blog entry for the day. Since I'm in my STUVAC week (aka. study period for exams) I haven't been getting into my studies as much as I would like to so I've only been keeping fit and also listening to a few recently released KPOP's. Here's a few that I personally like:

I love the melody and strong voice of this new star! She has looks strong fierce and beautiful in every shot! I love her makeup style and in a few shots where she is wearing a cap she reminds me of my dear blogging friend Ophieee

(Song Jieun- Don't Look At Me Like That)
I love how this song starts off with a soft melody then strengthens in both vocal and instrumental.  

(Yoon Hyun Sang & IU- When would it be)

I love how melodic this song sounds~Makes me want to fall asleep just listening to this BTS video of the song. Cannot wait until the full MV version comes out!

-DAILY UPDATES 061114-

Today I didn't really do much but on Monday I was able to check out the new side of the Macquarie shopping centre and boy does H&M look big, but compared to Melbourne's one, our's is still small. Right across from H&M you can see Forever 21 getting ready to open up in December. Anyways I'm going to leave it here for today~

☀Bali Beach Club Edition I / / COCOON ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)/

When in Bali, Beach Clubs are a must to go! One of the first beach clubs I went to was called Cocoon Restaurant, Bar, Beach Club. When you walk into the restaurant the whole atmosphere was just relaxing as the interior was simple and clean. We took our seats near the side which you can see in the second picture below. 

Once we settled into our seats we were given the menu and we took our time deciding what we wanted but since we got here quite early around 10:30am (local Bali time) we were not all too hungry so we just got cocktails instead. Just a heads up alcohol in Bali is not cheap it's probably around the same price as Australia but nevertheless we were on holiday's so we were willing to spend!

I ordered their Toblerone cocktail which had the perfect mix of  amaretto, frangelico, kahlua, baileys, blended with cream, honey & chocolate. Pretty much any cocktails with baileys I'm sold! It was smoothie-like which made it enjoyable to drink and it wasn't too strong. This cocktail cost Rp.120(AUD$11.50).

HappyLingFish loves her Pina Colada so she got the Cocoon Colada, it was very light and refreshing compared to my stronger milker cocktail and it cost Rp.110(AUD$10.50)

I also got a little refreshing treat for myself, the Cocoon Snow Egg Tribute, a crispy meringue outer, palm sugar and turmeric ice-cream center, shaved 'salak fruit, hazelnut, candlenut, tangerine sorbet, coconut emulsion and edible orange flowers.The dessert was extremely sweet so those with a huge sweet tooth this is for you! The sorbet tasted a bit minty and the combination of nuts gave it that extra texture and flavor. This refreshing treat cost Rp.75(AUD$7.05).

It was such a enjoyable and relaxing experience and our personal staff Tana made this all happen and he was also the one to tell us what was in the Snow Egg. Including all the service and tax the total of our bill came to Rp.358,985(AUD$34).

After paying the bill, Tana (in the photo above) told us that we should take photo's near the poolside and that's when we realized we could use the day beds there if we spend more than Rp.350(AUD$32). Ling and I took full advantage of this and stripped into our swimmers to enjoy the breeze, sun and pool! They even played good old RnB music too! 

This was during day 2 and I already felt I was in paradise here at Cocoon! It really takes your worries away and makes sure you fully enjoy the whole relaxing experience here. We stayed at the poolside until lunch time as we headed to our next foodie destination. Below are just a few snaps of our day by the pool and getting that sun-kissed skin! 

Just looking at these photo's makes me feel like I was in Bali right now and that I should keep up my fitness routine again! I was close to obtaining abs last summer but gave in to the holiday mode haha~
