✦• HoliCat GEO // Colour Lens Review •✦ ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

Happy 2019 everybody! I'm starting the year off by finishing off my review on the HoliCat GEO collection of colour contacts/lens where I had the opportunity to review the shade Barbie Hazel earlier last year. 

The HoliCat series originated from Korea and is manufactured by GEO Medical. It comes in a total of 5 shades, Barbie Hazel, Cutie Cat Brown, Sexy Gray, Lovely Choco and Funky Blue. The outer packaging is very colourful and cute, whereas the packaging for the lens itself are as per usual. I've included a little more details about the lenses below for your reference.

・Base Curve: 8.7mm 

・Power Range: 0.00 to -8.00

・Water Content: 42%

・Life Span: 1 month

Comfort-wise, I didn't feel any discomfort wearing this particular brand as they only have a life span of one month so it is somewhat breathable for my eyes. However I do recommend keeping some eye-drops ready on-hand to hydrate if your eyes start to feel dry or tired. I purchased these lenses from Loveshoppingholic at USD$14.90/PAIR which is quite a reasonable price. If you break it down it only cost USD$0.50/day for 30 days. 

All the shades come in a 14.5mm diameter and quite obviously enlarges the eyes. Additionally all of the shades, except Lovely Choco, have a very similar design which is a two rippled ring effect with the black outer ring. The black ring blends into the other colour (i.e. brown, gray or blue) giving off a doll-like appearance. All 3 shades are very pigmented and are true to their colours when worn.

The Barbie Hazel design uses more cooler tones whereas the Cutie Brown lens offer a warmer look. As for the Funky Blue and Sexy Gray, they were both very similar when worn with very subtle differences.

If you have dark eyes like myself, then the Lovely Choco shade will give you the most natural look with a touch of sparkle to it. The design of the lens itself uses a softer blend of browns and there is no black present to give a more define sharper look, giving you a more softer natural-doll appearance.

I would recommend this collection, especially for those who have naturally dark eyes. The colours and comfort of this collection is fantastic as it just makes my eyes sparkle a little more with its vivid shade and breathable thickness. Pricing is also relatively cheap in comparison to other lenses offered on the market, especially for cosplay-use. I suggest wearing minimal makeup with most of shades offered to really bring the look together.
