Tsukiji Fish Market // Seafood Breakfast ζ°)))彡

The day of visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market started off not as early as we originally planned so we left our place around 7am and got to the market around 8:30am. 

Once we got there we started looking where to eat and as soon as we reached closer to the middle of the markets there was a MASSIVE queue for Sushi Dai and apparently the wait at that time was 6 HOURS!

Clearly we were not early enough and patient enough to let our stomach's growl any longer. So we manage to find a restaurant that wasn't as crowded called Sushi Maru, which coincidentally was the same one my boyfriend went to in July 2014. 

Max and I ordered a sushi set each and we waited until it was completed to share the photo's with our friends and family. My camera was acting up and so I had to turn towards my phone camera with a filter since the lightening was not the best. 

As you can see we were served assorted seafood accompanied with scampi miso soup. My favorite definitely was the TORO( far right) in this photo above. It literally just melted in my mouth and I was having a moment of pure bliss!  

We also ordered their raw oysters with two different dressing's. Both were just simply amazing but I must say I did prefer the one on the left. 

We also walked past this store selling some strawberry daifuku and wagashi (traditional Japanese snacks).  

Look how cute the traditional snacks are!! I got a panda shaped one which I gave to my friend from Kyoto.

We bought a two strawberry daifuku's and decided to take a bite straight away, after that one bite...we decided to buy a few more. I also asked the owner if I could take a photo with her and she was very concern whether if her appearance was okay to take one but she kindly agreed to my request. She is such a sweet lady!! Cannot wait to go back and buy some more daifuku's from here again!

On our way back to the station we walked by two shrines and decided to visit them both. 

The first shrine was quite small and was just across the road from the Fish market whereas the other was just further towards the station. 

As their traditional ritual goes, hands must be cleansed before you pray 

The second shrine is where I prayed at my Chinese zodiac for my studies!! Check out my youtube channel for that video on my charms :D

There was also a small shrine for the Fox Spirits too!!

I enjoyed my morning at Tsukiji Fish Market as there was just so many good restaurants around offering such amazing menu's and at such an amazing price too! I cannot wait to come here again and maybe I'll try and get up earlier to go for Sushi Dai's menu!!

Carol's Beauty // Natural Tan Enhancer（・∀・）

Hello my dearies! As we know summer has ended here in Australia but that doesn't stop me when it comes to protecting my skin but wanting to keep that healthy summer glow, without having to suffer the blistering or being stuck with a streaky fake tan, all thanks to Carol's Beauty Products! Yakitori Marukin // SHIBUYA＼(^▽^＠)ノ

Behind the busy streets of Shibuya there is a cozy yakitori restaurant located on the second floor called YAKITORI MARUKIN. This place has amazing yakitori's that I ended up coming here twice during my Winter Japan trip! 

They have an All-You-Can-Drink menu at  ¥299 (exclu. tax)/30mins. The offer 70 different kinds of alcohols and soft drinks to choose from and you can mix them up too. 

Since we didn't really know what to order we asked the waitress for her recommendation and she offered us the 10 skewers option which you can add more skewers, once you finish the first 10, to 20 and 30. 

We went with that option as it would be the easiest and each skewer was different. Majority of the skewers would be recommended to dip into the jar of sauce. This jar of sauce is literally the holy grail of sauce! It is very aromatic and taste good with all the skewers! 

We also ordered Gyoza which had a very different appearance than usual and we also got the Horse meat, tataki-style. I had imagined the horse meat to be quite tough and chewy but to my surprise it was incredibly tender and melts into your mouth!!  

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Japan and I will definitely be coming back here during their Summer! I cannot wait until I can stuff these beautiful skewers into my mouth along with the drool-worthy jar of sauce. I was so tempted to take a jar home!! Anyways for those who intend on going to Japan soon I highly recommend this place!!

Finished one out of three essay now which are all due this coming week. After that I have a bit of a breather and the weather should be sunny so hopefully I can film my Japan fashion haul then!

Tea Time in Shibuya // Segafredo Zanetti Cafe (•ᴗ•)

Along the way from Shibuya to Harajuku we decided to stop by a cafe called Segafredo Zanetti because they had interesting looking cakes. 

I ordered a Tiramisu cake with English breakfast tea. The cake top layer of the cake had a super soft and fluffy like smores!! Plus it was not too sweet which made it perfect for my taste. It was literally love at first taste!

Max ordered a Chesnut Mont Blanc cake and Ice coffee. The mont blanc was also super delicious as it was very flavorsome and had a smooth texture! The chestnut mont blanc was also quite sweet which is why I did prefer my tiramisu cake more but they were both very delicious.   

If you walk past a Segafredo Zanetti Cafe in Japan I highly recommend trying their tiramisu cake and you will understand why I simply loved it!
