Spanish Dinner at Encasa Σ(▼□▼メ)

So 2 weeks ago i headed off to a Spanish restaurant in the city for my friend Suyin's 20th birthday. All the food was out of the banquet menu costing roughly $35/person.
Encasa Ratings:

Location:
The location is quite easy to find and close to World Square.
423 Pitt Street,
Sydney 2000 NSW

Menu:
Because it was a banquet we got 8-9 dishes excluding the salad and garlic bread. As for the food in general i did not like it as much as it was quite salty so i guess i'm not a fan of spanish food?

Cost:
There was about 20 of us but we all had to pay a total of about $34/each which in my opinion was quite expensive.

Overall:
Personally i did not really like the meal as much as it was a bit too salty for my taste but other than that i did have a fun night there.
Sangrila Ratings:
Taste: ★
Um...i was not really sure of the taste but after taking one sip i stopped and just drank water instead.

Overall: ★
Because i wasn't really sure what i was drinking so i'm not sure if i'd really recommend this drink.

Salads Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★
The salads were really nice and i enjoyed the cook capsicum with the fetta cheese.

Overall: ★
Highly recommend getting salad as majority of the dishes were quite salty so the salad will definitely help with toning down the saltiness.

Aceitunas(olives) Ratings:
Taste: ★
Extremely salty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And i wasn't really a fan of olives to begin with.

Overall:
I highly do not recommend this!! Unlike you like the salty taste and olives.

Chorizo a la Plancha(grilled Spanished sausage) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★
The sausages were freshly grilled and were alright in taste as they were not too salty.

Overall: ★
These are alright, nothing special.

Garlic Bread Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
I loved the crispy crust of the garlic bread and it tasted really nice.

Overall: ★
Highly recommend the garlic bread as it fills the mouth with the lovely garlic aroma from the bread.

Tortilla Espaňola(omelette w/potato & onion) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★
There were two types of this where one had shallots and the other didn't. These were not so bad but a bit plain in my opinion.

Overall: ★
Will recommend this as it is not as salty as all the other dishes.

Champiňones al Ajilo(garlic mushrooms) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★
I really love eating mushrooms and garlic so i enjoyed this dish but sadly the mushroom taste was overwhelmed by the garlic so i pretty much felt like i was eating garlic throughout.

Overall: ★
Will recommend this unless you don't like garlic.

Patatas Bravas(fried potato w/garlic mayonnaise & spicy tomato) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★
One of the dishes i actually found quite nice since it pretty much tasted like potato chips~

Overall: ★
This dish was alright and would recommend this.

Sevillanas(Prawn in Spicy Tomato) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★
The prawns were succulent and i quite enjoyed the flavors of this dish though it could have been marinated a bit longer so the flavors could sink into the prawns

Overall: ★
I would recommend this dish if you like seafood.

Pinchos de Pollo con Mojo(chicken fillet skewers)Ratings:
Taste: ★★★
This chicken skewers were average in taste, i guess it was the paste sauce made it better.

Overall: ★
This dish was quite average but one of the best meat dishes for the night.

Pinchos Morunos(lamb fillets skewers marinated in Morocan spices) Ratings:
Taste: ★★
These were extremely salty in taste and has a strong lamb meat smell.

Overall: ★
I wouldn't really recommend these, especially if you are not a fan of lamb meat since this has a strong lamb meaty smell.

Happy birthday to Suyin, here's the Matcha green tea cake we got her. After dinner it we headed off to the party and danced our night away with laughter, fun and photo's!~

Korean Dinner at Madang (^ Q ^)/゛

So since i did a more detail review of Kauizi i'm finally doing my new favorite korean restaurant which the kareshi took us to dinner which i mentioned in my anniversary blog entry.
So we went to Madang which is located in the heart of the city on Pitt street. It has both an outside and inside area to sit, as for me i prefer to outside even though the night i went it was freezing cold and i was wearing shorts. Although we sat outside it was really cozy as the plastic blinds blocked out all the wind and the food made us really warm too.
Sydnay Madang, Korean Cuisine & Charcoal BBQRatings:

Location:
The location is well located but can be a bit tricky to find since it is located behind some taller buildings.
371A Pitt Street,
Sydney NSW 2000
Mon-Sun: 11:30 am - 12:00am

Menu:
The menu offers so many different dishes that i wanted to try so many things out but just didn't have the space to stuff more food in.

Cost:
The price for dishes ranged from $13-$42 depending on what you order. So not the most cheapest korean food around but definitely worth the price.

Overall:

I love the place!! It has that Korean shop feel in Korea (which i have been to before) and i love it!! Other than the price the food and place is amazing!!

As usual after ordering they gave us the complimentary side dishes which included potato, kimchi, vinegar cabbage, tofu strips and wakame?
Since we were still quite fool from lunch we only ordered a few things which included a light meal, sizzling dish and hotpot to warm the night up.

Seafood and Shallot Pancake Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
The best korean seafood pancake i've ever had so far!! Super love this!! And this was only a size SMALL but it was quite a bit for us!

Cost: ★★★
This pancake cost roughly $14 if i remember correctly.

Overall: ★
Highly recommend this pancake, they do offer a vegetarian pancake but the kareshi and i loves shallots so we went with seafood.

Next item that came to our table was the marinated chili chicken sizzling dish. I'm sorry if that's not the exact name of the dish

Marinated Chili Chicken Sizzling dish Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
I love chili spicy food so i really enjoyed eating this! It's packed with flavor so best to eat this with rice.

Cost: ★★★
The cost was about $20? or so~

Overall: ★
Highly recommend to those who are spicy food lovers!!

Okay and our last item came which was the baby octopus and marinated beef hotpot!!

Baby Octopus & Marinated Beef Hotpot Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
The soup has a really clear taste which was not bland at all even with all the ingredients packed into it.

Cost: ★★★
The hotpot cost AUD$40 which is quite a lot for a hotpot.

Overall: ★
Even though the cost is quite expensive it was definitely super delicious to consume with a small group of friends! Highly recommend this hotpot!

I had a mother-daughter outing as we headed out to the city for high tea, once again at Kuaizi, then we went shopping around Myers & David Jones and I bought a new dress from REVIEW!! Of course after a tiring day of shopping we soon headed for dinner where we decided to eat at SOKYO (located at The Star) which i will be doing a full review on that very soon! Anyways just going to end this post with a fresh picture of me!

Classy Raspberry Red Nails (o´ω`o)ノ

Another nail polish review and this time it is one of my birthday gifts, Chanel Nail Colour 561 Suspicious .

Chanel,561 Suspicious,Ratings:

Colour: ★★★
I love this raspberry red colour as it looks really classy and simple.

Formula: ★★★★★
The formula is as heavenly as the Butter London's one. Super pigmented and fast drying. I only applied a generous amount of only one coat.
Packaging: ★★★
The packaging is simple and classic. The brush easily applies the nail varnish across my nails perfectly.

Price: ★★★
Knowing from background knowledge the price would be on an average price range for high end nail polishes.

Overall:
★★★
Highly recommend this warm raspberry red colour if you are looking for something different and bold to wear in the summer and it is also perfect to wear in the autumn.

Bow Up & Heel's High for High Tea with Kuaizi o(^・x・^)o

So as promised here is the Kuaizi's High Tea review post!!
I had recently bought a few coupons to go for high tea at a restaurant called Kuaizi, which means chopstick in chinese. I used one coupon with the kareshi, and another i used just yesterday as  with a few of my friends. The coupons we used yesterday were slightly different to the one used with the kareshi as the one used with the kareshi was catered for 2 people and yesterdays' one was catered for 6 people
. And if you go now you won't see the Giant Rilkkakuma head anymore!! I was quite sad that they took it down :(

Kuaizi Modern Fusion Cuisine Restaurant Ratings:

Location:
The location of the place is super easy to find and it is about a 10 minute walk from Town Hall station.
321-325 Sussex St,
Sydney 2000 NSW
Phone: (02) 9283 8825
Trading Hours: Monday- Sunday, Lunch- 12-3pm, High Tea 12-6pm, Dinner 6-10pm

Menu:
There were 3 different types of High Tea Set menu which differed in only their sandwiches, although their site does say they have different cakes which they actually don't. As for tea's they offered both English and Chinese tea's.

Cost:
Because i had bought a coupon it was super cheap!! All under $20 per person and comes with a complimentary glass of wine for each person! But without the coupon it will cost $45 per person plus no complimentary wine.

Overall:
Highly recommend this place if you ever see the coupons up for grabs! Definitely recommend getting only the catering for 2 people as it seems they give more food.
--
I wasn't expecting any difference for the high tea sets and all but boy was i different!! The catering for 6 had so much more less items compared to the catering for 2 people! There were only 3 sandwiches on the bottom tier, one scone, 2 small cupcakes, 4 chocolate cakes on the middle tier and fruits looked quite a lot but it was all spread out to seem that way. Most of us went there empty stomach and quite hungry so we weren't expecting this to completely fill us. Nevertheless it managed to fill our hunger spots up but i was not very happy with this coupon as much! Definitely much better to buy catering for 2! Okay so here are the reviews for both the catering for 2 and catering for 6.

Catering for 2 coupon, with the kareshi
Catering for Two High Tea Set, Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
So the bottom tier the sandwiches were quite big as they used 3 pieces of bread and there were a total of 4 of them! On the desert teir there were 2 scones,  2 caramel slices, 2 chocolate brownies, 2 cupcakes, 2 pastry puffs. On the top tier were the assorted fruits where there was a whole kiwi fruit (cut in half), 5 watermelon pieces, 5 orange pieces and a small amount of grapes. We also got a pot of tea and a complimentary glass of wine.

Cost: ★★★
This cost us AUD$19.50 per person. Super Cheap for a filling high tea set!

Overall: ★
After my first experience there my impression of it was simply blown away by all the generous amount of food, setting and atmosphere here!!
Catering for 6 coupon, 1 high tea set/pair
Catering for Six High Tea Set, Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★The pot of tea and a complimentary glass of wine was all the same but the 3 tier of food was not! The bottom tier the sandwiches were the same but there was only 3! On the desert tier there was only one scones,  2 chocolate brownies and 2 cupcakes. On the top tier were the assorted fruits where there was a few slices kiwi fruit , 5 watermelon pieces, 5 orange pieces and 2 slices of apple.

Cost: ★★★
The cost is quite reasonably at AUD$17 per person.

Overall: ★
My second experience here i was not very happy at all. The food sizes had decreased making us all feel unsatisfied because it did not completely fill in our hunger spot. Hence it is best to purchase the catering for 2 and pay a few extra dollars for more food!
--
So my friends and i just took our time catching up over tea and food and enjoying the atmosphere and conversations happening.
After high tea we decided to head off to the Sydney Fish Market since a dear friend of mine has never been before, and he has lived here for quite some time (which was similar to how i had never gone up to see the Opera House in person until recently).
As we left the restaurant and said bye to one of our friend we took the light rail to the Fish Market. It was a short trip so we got there really quickly and when we arrived we just took a look around the whole place before deciding what to eat.
In the end we bought half a dozen of oysters with caviar, wakame seaweed and a seafood platter. We had another nice catch up talk on life and uni while digging into our seafood and we managed to finish everything! We finished all the food around 4pm and I was so full that i didn't really eat much during dinner with mum, yet again in the city. Had a super fun yet tiring day!!
