Ramen time at Tenkomori (*´∀｀*人*´∀｀*)

The second day of 2013 i decided to meet up with the kareshi in the city. We decided to have lunch at Regents Place as there was a new Ramen shop, called Tenkomori Ramen House, which has now replaced TonTon (i really liked that shop for food, so i was a bit unhappy). Nevertheless, the new shop there is now a Ramen House shop, where the ordering process functions exactly the same as Mappen and Oiden. 

Tenkomori Ramen House Ratings:

Location:★★★★★

The location can be easily missed if you do not know your way around the city, so best way to locate it is find the KFC shop near the EVENTS Cinema's and find a narrow corridor along that street and you'll be in Regents Place.

Menu: ★★★★☆

The menu has a variety of ramen which you can choose! They also offer a few rice dishes, various side dishes to choose from and gyoza too! 

Cost: ★★★★☆

Reasonably priced as i only paid under AUD$25 for 2 bowls of ramen (one regular, one large) a few sides and a drink on top too.

Overall: ★★★★☆

I do recommend this place although Tenkomori ramen is not as good as Ichiban Boshi's ramen.

Now moving onto the food we ordered for lunch~

Terriyaki Chicken w/Tonkatsu soup Ramen (regular) Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆

The terriyaki chicken didn't have much of a terriyaki taste as it is the grilled sort of chicken so it had a more charcoal taste? The broth was really nice and it didn't have any bland flavors at all. The ramen noodles are not as bouncy? al dente? they are not as good as Ichiban Boshi's ramen noodles.

Cost: ★★★★★

This cost AUD$7.30, relatively cheap and i didn't even finish my bowl!

Overall: ★★★☆☆

I will recommend the Tonkatsu(pork) broth but i not really the terriyaki chicken ramen all that much.

Black Garlic w/Shoyu soup Ramen (large) Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆

The Shoyu soup was really clear and the garlic that melted into the soup made the flavors really nice (because i like my garlic, shallots, onions, etc.)

Cost: ★★★★

This cost AUD$6.90 even cheaper than my one even though we ordered this in a large!!

Overall: ★★★★☆

Highly recommend this one, although you might find it a bit boring to eat since there is no toppings on top so best to get some side dishes.

QQ White Grape Drink Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆

Tasted like real grape juice!!  

Cost: ★★★☆☆

I'm not sure of the price, but it wouldn't be too expensive.

Overall: ★★★★☆

I do recommend this drink since it's really refreshing!! There is also a raspberry flavor too!!

Gyoza Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆

I love gyoza's but i must say the gyoza's here are really average, it cannot beat Ichiban Boshi's gyoza's!!

Cost: ★★★★☆

This cost AUD$4, which is a reasonable price for 5 pieces of gyoza's.

Overall: ★★★☆☆

I do not really recommend the gyoza as much~

Side dishes Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★★

The wakame seaweed, well...you can't really say it's good or bad. The takoyaki would have tasted nice if it was still hot but unfortunately all the side dishes had cooled down! The pork belly was really nice, the meat just melted into the mouth as it's really soft and tender. It's also not too salty either!!

Cost: ★★★☆☆

The sides range from about AUD$1-3 (from memory) which i find was an alright pricing.

Overall: ★★★★☆

I do recommend the pork belly! As for the takoyaki i guess not really unless you see them coming out fresh from the kitchen otherwise they're bound to be cold!!

After lunch we did a bit of shopping around and headed for desert afterwards, which i shall continue in the next blog entry! 

Loving how the pink in my hair gets more and more pastel as time goes on, but i kind of miss the bright sharp candy pink shade too~ Today i decided to wear my colour contact's as i've been avoiding them due to the fact i get minor headaches when i try to wear them again (guess my eye's are not use to them) so i'm taking baby steps and wore them for a few hours today!! I shall be opening more of my colour contact's this year otherwise they will go to waste!! Look forward to all the new contacts i shall be reviewing and wearing in the future blog posts!!!
