Arriving in Japan // Nostalgic Memories (@^▽^@)

It has been a while but finally getting my Japan blog post up one by one!! On the 22nd February, Sunday the day of our departure to Japan had finally arrived for myself and high school mate, Max. We set out early in the morning to catch our flight from Sydney to the Gold Coast. Once we arrived at GC our flight to Narita, Tokyo was delayed so we arrived in Japan later than expected.

Once we arrived at the airport we went to get our JR Passes exchanged and purchase our express tickets to get to Shinjuku which was to come in the next hour so while we waited for our train we decided to get some food nearby at a cafe called DOUTOUR. (Excuse my makeup-less and tired face!)

I ordered a hot green tea latte and a salsa wrap to fill my belly. Also got one of their donuts cause they looked so good! Everything was just very pleasant and somewhat homey. It was our first meal in Japan!

When we went to catch our train to Shinjuku I saw vending machines which reminded me so much of my first time coming to Japan with my family back in 2008 so I had to take a picture next to it once again. 

Once we got to Shinjuku we headed off to find our accommodation which we booked through AIRBNB. Our apartment was in Hatsudai which was about another 10-15 minutes train ride from Shinjuku. We arrived at our apartment around 12am and freshened up before heading to bed. We found a few vending machines on our way to our accom. so I purchased my old time favorite hot corn soup to end the night!

HELLO // I'M STILL ALIVE!

Hello you, my awesome readers! Happy Easter

Hope you enjoyed all these video's! I haven't been blogging much as I've been trying to catch up on uni work ever since I came back from Japan. Also I haven't been able to do any video or blog reviews of any beauty related products yet because the crazy weather changes here in Sydney have really affected my skin, making it really dry and somewhat itchy too! But, it's finally starting to regain moisture and all so hopefully will be doing reviews soon, especially some of my Japan haul stuff!

H E L L O // Room Clean Up ヽ( ★ω★)ノ

So the past few days..(or even weeks since I dragged it out), I've been cleaning and reorganizing my room so that I can enjoy and relax to the fullest. I knew that my room was messy and cluttered making it hard to find things at times.

It wasn't until after the New Years I decided to get myself together and just declutter, clean and have organization in my room. I looked at many inspirational pictures of rooms and see how stuff was organized and packed away and then I started the process of throwing stuff out.

I started with my cupboard just because there was so many clothes that were placed everywhere. Many of them were clothing's I once wore back in my high school days and I knew it was time to throw them out.
My tips to cleaning a wardrobe was:
- Have I worn this in the past year?
- Does it (still) fit/look good on?

I literally wiped out 80% of my wardrobe, most were given to my younger cousin, which she sorted and the rest was all donated. I really need to be cautious of what I buy because so many things were new but I just never wore. *sighs*

I then moved along to the desk and floor where most my "stuff" happened to be. Boy was there tonnes of stuff I just threw out. 
Tip to cleaning the desk/floor:
- Rubbish = THROW
- Not rubbish = KEEP

So what I mean here by rubbish is literally just old uni notes, pamphlets, just bits and pieces of broken/unused/unnecessary stuff. I threw out at least 4 garbage bags of rubbish and an old computer desk that was falling apart. Not rubbish items could include textbooks, note books, novels, pens, etc. 

I knew that I lacked storage in my room so I decided to place things in boxes that were organised in a way that was easy for me to place stuff as I was cleaning i.e. Makeup/Skincare Box, Books & Pens Box, Hair accessories Box, Jewelry filled Box, Sentimental value item Box, Technology Box, etc.  

Last but not least was to clean up under my bed (which I did today!). I was expecting a huge amount of junk but to my surprise there wasn't as much as I thought there would be (thank goodness!). All that is left for me to do is just organize where I would like all my stuff that I have kept in its' new position (which can be quite hard!!). So yeah! I'll do a room tour post once I have completely cleaned and organised my room!!
