I love Chinese New Year’s and it’s just around the corner,
which means more food, family & friends and of course we can’t miss out on
the red pockets! Another thing I love about Chinese New Year is I love heading
out to the temples with my family to pay my respects, in doing so I like to get
dressed up, especially in the colour RED!
Red also happens to be my favorite
colour too!! If you’re like me and want to find some affordable dresses in red
here are a few which you can find on the online boutique EricDress. [http://www.ericdress.com/list/Online-Dresses-101884/]
Modern Cheongsam Lace Dress
This dress is perfect if you’re after something traditional
but with a bit of glamour to it. I love how they used lace at the neck and
glammed the dress up with rhinestones which give it a more elegant touch to it
too for a night out. It also comes in a few other shades; just in case red is
not your colour. I personally quite like the blue and red and seeing as I have
never own a cheongsam-inspired dress before I may purchase this for the next
Chinese New Year’s as it may not arrive in time for the Chinese New Year’s this
year.
Casual Floral Dress
If you’re heading out during the day time then I would
definitely wear something like this and throw either a shirt or a thin
cardigan to tone down the sexiness of this dress and also protect the skin from
getting sunburnt plus if you're heading out to the temples you definitely don’t want get
burnt by the incense either. It’s also perfect to wear on a causal day out to a
picnic or brunch session with friends.
Sheer Neck Red Skater Dress
I love how cute and girly this dress is and it’s perfect to
wear in our summer weather! I definitely don’t want to melt in the heat with
any long sleeved dresses. I love how there is the sheer heart print near the
collar section which creates the sweetheart line giving it that extra girly
touch. This dress also comes in black too just in case you want to find a
little black day dress.

Afternoon guys! It's so hot over here in Sydney today and I should have made my day more exciting by going to the beach or something but I guess the laziness got the better side of me. I'm also super excited as Chinese New Year's approaches and also my vacation with friends shall commence early February too! Woohoo!!

I do like the dresses, but wouldn't your parents care if you wore something like those to a temple?
ReplyDeleteThe first two are definitely too flashy for me to wear out to temples, definitely prefer the third dress more. I wore a lovely red skater dress last year to the temples but I saw many girls dressing up much less coverage? outfits than the images above to the temples which I'm a bit iffy about.
ReplyDeleteThe first dress I would say it's more of a clubbing style dress, as in Australia the clubs here do have themed events at the clubs from time to time~ and CNY happens to be one of their annual themes.
Though the first two are a little flashy for my tastes, the third one look really cute! ///v///
ReplyDeleteThen again, traditional Chinese dresses are kind of revealing. Mine has a leg slut that rides all the way to my hip! @A@

True, traditional Chinese dresses are meant to accentuate the woman body with some sexiness to it, eg. key hole or side slit. I'll prob have to wear shorts underneath if the side slit does ride up as I'm not that tall~~
