Port Douglas & Cairns // Summer Snorkel Vacation Σ(*ノ´>ω<。`)ノ

Some of you guys who follow my instagram or facebook page will know that I went to the Great Barrier Reef about 2 months back and it was definitely one of the best experiences ever! I tried many things for the first time which includes, snorkelling, sky diving, licking the butt of a green ant and many many more. It is also listed as one of the MUST VISIT locations as earth gets warmer the reef will slowly perish and die, so start planning a trip soon! I am happy to cross this location off my travelling bucket list. Anyway, here are 3 vlog video's that reflects my adventures while I was there. I hope you guys enjoy them.

Fushimi Inari Shrine & Kinkakuji // Kyoto Sight-Seeing ヾ(。・ω・)シ

Continuing on with my Japan Summer Trip 2015 blog entries, the following day after my visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo forest was visiting the Inari Shrine and Kinkakuji temple.

Visiting the Fushimi Inari Shrine is definitely one of my favourite things to do when I come to Kyoto. It is a popular tourist location for it's beautiful and breathtaking scene and of course the tori gates that lie there.

Because it is an incredibly popular tourist location, Steph and I headed out quite early so we could avoid the tour groups and also take many photo's without being photo bombed!

Also, another improvement was made since my last visit to Inari shrine in the winter. There was signs to direct the crowd when the tori gates split into two tunnels, which we entered through the right hand side and exit to the left (if you're facing towards the mountain of the shrine).

This made it so much more easier to past through people, if they were maybe walking too slow and taking photo's was so much better too!

Steph and I reached halfway and we saw this cute fox enma's. Many of the enma's had really cute and well-drawn anime/manga characters! I was super impressed, so I took a photo of it~

We started heading back to the front of the shrine when we reached halfway, as we wanted to visit the Kinkakuji temple before we left Kyoto later that day. The bridge I'm standing on is called "Jigoku Hashi" which translate as "Hell Bridge" (correct me otherwise).

Despite the name of the bridge though...look how pretty this small waterway looks with all that beautiful luscious greenery.

Bye bye Fushimi Inari Shrine, till next time! Steph and I headed to Enmachi station and from there we took a bus towards Kinkakuji, which is also known as the "Temple of the Golden Pavillion".

Kinkakuji was originally a villa which was later converted into a Zen temple. The scene honestly looks like it is from a storybook! S beautiful and peaceful!

Even from the back, the temple is gorgeous! Steph and I followed the path and before we finished the walk we stopped by a tea house for some refreshments.

We both ordered the cold matcha and cake set! The matcha was thick and bitter-sweet and the cake was quite delicious too!

Steph and I were too happy and chill to leave, mainly because the tea house had aircon and outside was 32 degree hot! But we had to head back to our apartment soon as we were on the move to Osaka!

Before leaving Kyoto, we went to a shopping strip in Kyoto called Shinkyogoku, where we had lunch at a place called STAR Restaurant.

Their prices were fairly cheap, which is the main reason we decided to try this place out!

I ordered their Pork Katsu with omelette and spaghetti, which I believe cost around 800yeh (without tax). However taste-wise it isn't the best, but I did see a small group of girls who ordered the large parfait! It did look delicious but Steph and I had no stomach room to eat it.

After eating, we shopped around and also found a nail salon so we decided to get our nails done too! However they didn't had any available till after 5pm. We still wanted to get our nails prettied up so we decided to wait by going to a nearby cafe for a small refreshment.

We went to the Lipton Cafe and they actually have really delicious cakes and drinks! I highly recommend if you so happen to be around! This is the end to my adventures in Kyoto, however my adventures in Osaka shall be noted in my next blog post!

Can you believe there is only one more day till February!! OMGSH! Time honestly flies by as you age! February will be a super busy month for me, such as celebrating Chinese New Years, even though half of my family members are in Hong Kong at this time (my younger brother left to HK yesterday~). So this year will be a bit more lonely than usual but I'm super excited at the same time, because right after CNY, I will be flying off to New Zealand with the boyfriend, Mr.Smiles! I am so looking forward to another travelling adventure! Once again I'll try to vlog as often as I can when I'm there!

Back to School Makeup & Hair | Natural & Cute

Today I uploaded a new video onto my youtube channel, on the topic Back to School. Here in Sydney, school begins next week so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share and hopefully prep you girls who want to have cute hairstyles and look less tired when you go to school again.

In my video I use very limited makeup, which I try to portray a more natural and refreshing appearance. Some schools do not allow the use of makeup, but when I was in highschool, there were no strict rules. We could dye our hair any colour, paint our nails whichever shade we liked and wear as much makeup as we wanted.

As for myself, I hardly wore any makeup during my junior years, it was only until my senior years that I started using a bit of eye liner and some tinted lip balm or lip gloss.

However, nowadays I sleep later than usual so dark circles are bound to appear. Hence a little help from makeup can help conceal and make me look much more refreshed and awake.

You will also find 4 cute hairstyles which are super easy to achieve and doesn't take too long either. The video is below so I do hope you guys enjoy it!

Breakfast at Sokyo // Sydney eats (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

I have been to Sokyo since it first opened and have been in love with their food since. When I heard about their breakfast menu I was so eagered to go try the food. I finally got the chance to on Boxing Day as my mum wanted to have breakfast there (as she has been a few times already, and loves the food too!).

While we waited for our main breakfast meal, they have a continental buffet which offers a selection of food to choose from. These include cereal, congee, soba, fruits, muffins, cronuts, juice etc.

As I was having some small eats, my main arrived. I ordered the Akashiyaki, which includes Binchotan grille octopus, omelette, butter roasted Kipfler potato, créme fraiche, white soy micro greens and niban-dashi. This dish was not what I would expect it to be, taste-wise I thought it would be more flavourful. However, I wasn't feeling too well that morning, so I didn't have much of an appetite to begin with.

My mum ordered the Bimbimbap, which includes 48 hour wagyu beef cheek, pickled mushroom, yamagobo, spinach, zucchini, bean sprouts, steamed Hokkaido yumepirika rice, fried egg and gochujang terriyaki. It was an enjoyable dish to have with all the flavors and textures mix together.

Before we left, I picked up two mini muffins from the buffet because of their flavors, which were black sesame and matcha. I really enjoyed the black sesame muffin! Plus they were both really moist and packed with flavor!

✦• Angelcolor MODIC series in Pale Brown, 1 Day Lens Review •✦ ヾ(0∀0*★)゚*・.。

Finally getting another one of my Japan purchases review up today! Today I will be sharing with you guys my review on another pair of one day colour contact lens.

The pair of lens are by Angelcolor, Modic series which only comes in two shades, Spotlight Grey & Pale Brown and I purchased a box of 10 lenses (meaning 5 pairs).

The shade I decided to pick up was their Pale Brown as I have already picked up a few darker brown shades.

These contact lenses are a 1-day wear and also come in separate little packagings for each lens. I cannot remember the exact price but a box of 10 lenses for any brands are around the same price (of about 2500 yen). Here is a little bit more information on these lens:
-Diameter: 14.2mm
-BC: 8.6
-Life Span: 24 hours

One-day Vintage Brown Bambi series Ratings:

Comfort:
After coming across daily wear lens I have never looked back! These pair are incredibly comfortable and breathable. I would usually re-hydrate my eyes with some eye drops if I'm out from morning till night.

Colour:
These pair of lens are much lighter in colour compare to the rest that I purchased, but have a beautiful design and blend of shades which makes it wearable on a daily basis. I love how vibrant yet soft these lenses look!

Enlargement:
When you wear these lens you can definitely see the difference in size. Although it does have a enlarging effect, it is not so extreme that it creates a glassy doll look. Instead the enlarging effect just assists in making it seem you have brighter and bigger eyes.

Price:
Honestly I am so impressed with the price in Japan! Super cheap compared to purchasing online, but when you're not in Japan it can be hard to find a reasonable price or a reliable distributor

Overall:
Once again, I absolutely love these pair of lens! You can never go wrong with any Angelcolor lenses in Japan. These pair can work beautifully with either light or heavier makeup, depending what look you are trying to go for! Definitely will be purchasing a box of 30 lenses the next time I go to Japan.

We are almost two weeks into the new year and I have already got two flights booked! I shall be travelling in about a week and my next adventure will happen in February. I am super excited but I'm going to be so poor after, so need to start saving even more money. This means no new purchases until I have a stable amount in my bank account again~
