Washoku Lovers invites me to Suminoya // Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

Yesterday I was invited by Washoku Lovers to do a review at the Suminoya restaurant, located in Martin Place. Suminoya is known to be an authentic Japanese BBQ restaurant since the year 2000 and is affiliated with other well known Japanese BBQ restaurant such as Rengaya (still my #1 favourite Jap BBQ place) and Koh-ya, in Randwick.

Suminoya Japanese Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

I actually had already been to this restaurant for the first time about 2 months ago, for my friends' birthday dinner, so I roughly knew what to expect. As for today, I decided to invite my dearest childhood friend Stephy to come eat with me!

This time round, we had the pleasure to try out Suminoya's lunch menu where we ordered the "12 piece salmon sashimi($19.90)" and 2 sets of the "3 Choice Charcoal BBQ (AUD$24.90)".

First, we had the 12 piece salmon sashimi which was served fresh, while they played Jazz music in the background to make your experience more enjoyable and relaxed.

Once we had finished our sashimi, we were then served our main lunch meal for the day. Our 3 choice charcoal sets also included rice, miso soup and salad.

We had ordered 2x Beef tongue, wagyu beef loin, wagyu beef harami, wagyu beef rib fingers and pork belly, which were all well marinated and had a reasonable serving portion too!

Each meat dish will vary in time when it comes to cooking them to perfection, as it will depend what 'cut' you are cooking. For example, the Beef tongue only needs a minute or less to cook both side until lightly toasted. This will leave the meat super juicy and tender and tastes even better with the BBQ sauce that is provided.

Additionally the all-you-can-eat buffet dinner menu is very popular for a casual and affordable dining session with friends. It offers a wide variety of dishes from their a la carte and bbq menu. A few of of my favourites are listed and shown below!

Yukke- well marinated and tender too!

Eel Rice- my all time favourite Japanese dish! I had to have more than just one of these!

Today's Slushie- we got grape flavour the night we went for my friend's birthday dinner! Yummy and flavourful! Perfect to freshen up your taste palette!!

Salmon Sashimi- how can I not order this! Salmon is one of my favourite fish to eat!

ICE-CREAM!!-You have to try their black sesame ice-cream, as it is packed with that aromatic sesame taste!! The green tea is also super good too, so if you're not a fan of black sesame, green tea is the way to go!

It was quite a chilly day yesterday, which made it perfect to warm ourselves up with Japanese BBQ. I had a lovely time with Stephy as we both enjoyed our delicious lunch meal and the staff were super friendly and attentive too. Although this post is sponsored by Washoku Lovers and Suminoya, I would recommend this place based on my personal experience as the ingredients that they use are all fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend trying their Seafood & Yakiniku dinner buffet menu if you want to get a taste of everything!
