Chefs Gallery : Dine Hear Giveaway (○゜ε^○)

As you know Sunday I always go out with my mum for our weekly brunch bonding. This time we headed out with her friend who had just came back from Hong Kong and we decided to have lunch at Chef’s Gallery.

Chefs Gallery Ratings:
Location:★★★★★
The location of the restaurant is very easy to find as it is just a 1 min walk from Town Hall station.
Shop 12 (facing Bathurst St), Ground Level, Regent Place Shopping Centre,
501 George St, Sydney NSW 2000
Lunch Hours: Mon-Sat 11:30am-3:00pm & Sun 11:30am-3:30pm
Dinner Hours:
Sun-Thurs 5:30pm- 10:00pm & Fri-Sat 5:30pm-10:30pm

Menu: ★★★★☆
They offer quite a variety of dishes from entrée to main to desserts too. The food served focus on traditional Chinese cooking with a fusion of that modern twist to bring out that unique flavor. Their drink menu also had quite a few trendy drinks such as an Ice matcha and of course traditional Chinese tea.

Cost: ★★★☆☆
The cost there is relatively reasonable as we decided to order their weekend lunch special menu which cost $69 for 9 dishes which is originally valued at $89.

Service: ★★★★★
The service there is impeccable. All the waitress and waiters were very kind and helpful when we made our orders. This was actually my second time coming here and the difference they made, since my first visit, was that when a customer came to sit down one of the staff would greet us with a warm “welcome” and the rest of the staff would respond “Ni Hao”. This is similar to many of the Japanese restaurants here in Sydney where they would greet “Irrasha-imasen”

Environment/Atmosphere: ★★★★☆
The environment of the restaurant is very welcoming and modern. Their kitchen is opened to the customers as they cook each dish carefully. The noise level at this restaurant can be quite loud, especially on the weekends, which can cause wrong orders and overhearing other customer’s conversation, as the tables are quite close to one another.

Overall: ★★★★☆
Despite that the noise level there can be quite loud, in general I still love coming to Chefs Gallery for its’ unique fusion Chinese food. Not only is the food good their services are just wonderful.

Crab Meat Spring Rolls Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆
The crispy flakey skin had a really nice texture, especially when you start to munch through to the crab meat. One of the most interesting spring rolls I’ve seen in Sydney.

Overall: ★★★★☆
I do recommend this dish, especially if you’re bringing children to eat, they will certainly love this spring roll, unless you’re allergic to seafood.
Regular handmade Noodles wok fried w/Mushrooms, Bean sprouts in premium Soya Sauce Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆
The noodles were really nicely made and perfectly cook. Many would over cook their noodles making them very soggy and easily break off.

Overall: ★★★☆☆
Although the noodles were really good I found this dish quite ordinary.
Hot & Sour Soup Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆
Their hot and sour soup is not as spicy as I’d usually like it but it’s quite delightful to consume as the spiciness doesn’t overwhelm our taste buds

Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommend! This dish is a good starter for those who cannot handle spicy food that well.
Spicy Prawn Dumplings (Har Gao) Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★★
I enjoyed eating this dumpling because it’s spicy! I love spicy food so this one was quite enjoyable to eat.

Overall: ★★★★★
Highly recommend to the chilli lovers out there!
Cucumber slices served cold in garlic vinegarette and chilli oil Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★★
My favorite dish of the day!! I love how crispy and crunchy the cucumbers were and the flavors just opened up my appetite and taste buds so that I can enjoy the rest of the food!

Overall: ★★★★★
Highly recommend!! This was my favorite dish of the day!!
Fluffy Chinese roti w/pork floss Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★★
This is a fun dish to eat since I enjoy my pork floss! The roti was really well made too! Wasn’t burnt nor was it undercook.

Overall: ★★★★☆
Recommend this dish who feel in the mood for some pastry food.
Pan fried pork and cabbage potstickers Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆
I really liked the filling of the dumpling but the skin was a bit too thick for my liking.

Overall: ★★★☆☆
This dish was not so bad but I would definitely pick a steam dumpling instead.
Wok fried green beans w/minced pork Ratings:

Taste: ★★★☆☆
I usually like to eat this dish in Chinese restaurants but I will say they didn’t really bring out the flavors too well with this dish.

Overall: ★★☆☆☆
I guess I won’t really recommend this dish as much.
Wok Fried medium grain Rice w/diced Chicken and Salted Fish Ratings:

Taste: ★★★★☆
This fried rice was really nice!! I especially liked how they added small bits of salted fist to the rice so it could bring out the rich flavors of the eggs and chicken used.

Overall: ★★★★★
Highly recommend this dish!!
