Today I will be sharing with you one of my favorite places to eat in Chatswood. PappaRich opened early this year and has been the rave of the town because, honestly, Chatswood doesn't have any good restaurants compared to the city. I always come back here, every month or so with either my mummy or friends.

The restaurant is about a 10 minute walk from Chatswood Staion and about a 2 minute walk from Chatswood Chase shopping centre.

They offer traditional Malaysian dishes such as Roti, Laksa, Satays, etc. I guess the only one bad thing about the menu is that it doesn’t show you the price of the dishes

The pricing is quite reasonable and the dish sizes are generous too.

The process of ordering the food is all done yourself and when you have written your order you just press the table bell and a staff will come to pick you order. They can be a bit slow in this because it is usually packed with people already.
Environment/Atmosphere: ★★★★☆
The environment of the restaurant is very welcoming and modern with some Malaysian music in the background. You cannot really hear the music all that well since the whole place is super noisy already due to the other customers there too.
Overall: ★★★★☆
Chatswood doesn’t have much great restaurants to sit and enjoy, so I would highly recommend this place to those living near the area!!! Take your mums and aunties out for a treat!
Now let me get straight into the review. First up my drink!
Bandung with Grass Jelly Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
I really like this drink!! It is a rose flavored milk tea which makes it really unique and nothing I’ve ever had before. I always order this drink every time I go now!
Overall: ★★★★☆
Highly recommend this drink! Super nice!! The colour of the drink made me think it’d be extremely sickly sick but it’s not as sweet as I thought it would be. I love this!
Satay Mixed (Chicken & Beef) Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
I really liked their peanut sauce. As for their satay’s I preferred their chicken one over the beef but nothing really special about it.
Overall: ★★☆☆☆
I don’t think I’d really recommend this since there is nothing really special about them and I’m sure there are other places with better satay.
Pappa Special Biryani Rice w/ Sambal Eggplant, Fried Chicken, Sambal Prawns Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
I thought there would be something special about this rice dish, but it’s quite disappointing because there is nothing special about it at all.
Overall: ★☆☆☆☆
Will not recommend this dish because it’s not very surprising and the taste in general is just plain ordinary.
Dry Curry Egg Noodle Ratings:
Taste: ★★☆☆☆
It just tasted like noodles fried in soy sauce so I didn’t really like this dish as much. I do however, like the consistency of the noodles, they were perfectly cooked.

Even though the noodles were quite nice I don’t think this dish is quite worth trying.
Steam Chicken (Hainan chicken style)Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
Their steam chicken was quite nice and went well with the noodle dish and the congee too. But I must say I’ve had better and smoother steam chicken before at a much cheaper price too.
Overall: ★★★☆☆
I do however recommend this dish to go with your congee.
Chicken congee Ratings:
Taste: ★★★★★
I actually really enjoyed the congee a lot! It was really well made and the flavors didn’t overwhelm our taste buds.
Overall: ★★★★☆
High recommend this dish, especially if you’re starting to feel unwell in the cold winter weather we are having.
Pappa Deep Fried Chicken Skin Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
Yes, it sounds fatty but they were really good, as they were super crispy! But the saltiness will build up making you feel sick about eating them.

These will go great if you’re sipping on bear and just catching up with friends after a tiring day of work.
Hainan Steamed Bread w/Curry Chicken Ratings:
Taste: ★★★☆☆
The bread is not bad and it’s really soft and warm. The curry on the other hand is not that great and it’s also a bit too oily.
Overall: ★★☆☆☆
Definitely to not recommend this set it’s as the bread will absorb the oil of the curry if you eat it together, which doesn’t sound very nice for your heart or body.

This dish is one of my favorites to eat and it is a little spicy! It smells great and the seasoning brings out a lovely aroma and flavor!
Overall: ★★★★★
Highly recommend this dish, and if you can eat chili then I recommend you request extra spicy! Tastes even better!

This one was not so bad too! It reminds me of the Chinese wok stir-fried noodle dishes.
